Appearance
Phthalo is a tiny, newly hatched perentie, no longer than a man's forearm, with delicate, soft scales that glisten in shades of pale gold and green like a fresh leaf in sunlight. His body is lean and fragile, his limbs thin but already showing the promise of strength in the way they twitch and stretch with newfound curiosity. The peridot between his shoulders is small and faintly glowing, like an ember struggling to catch fire, flickering weakly with occasional sparks of electricity that dance across his downy skin. His eyes, though still glossy and wide with the innocence of birth, have a sharpness to them, as if they are already trying to understand the vast, strange world around him. Phthalo moves with the tentative, jerky steps of one who has only just discovered movement, but there is a hint of purpose in every motion, an instinctive sense of his surroundings that seems guided by the subtle hum of energy emanating from the gem in his back.
Personality
As a newborn, Phthalo is a bundle of raw curiosity and instinct. He is alert and observant, his sharp little eyes constantly darting around, absorbing every detail of his environment with a mix of awe and wariness. Though young, he shows an unusual calmness for a creature so new to the world, a quiet intensity that sets him apart from the typical restless energy of hatchlings. Phthalo is cautious but not fearful; he approaches everything with a careful, measured curiosity, poking and prodding at his surroundings to understand them. There's a flicker of independence in him already—a desire to explore on his own terms, to learn the secrets of the strange forces that crackle faintly from the gem nestled in his back. Despite his tiny size, he has a stubborn determination, a small spark of confidence that seems to come from the electricity coursing through him, urging him to discover the limits of his abilities and the world beyond his nest.
