Appearance

Pippy is befitting as a Bumblebee Bat extremely small, possibly be a contender to be the smallest Greater Gembound there is. Pippy will only grow just a little bit maybe just only by 1-2 millimetres at maximum. She will only be a little over 1.1 inches when she is fully developed, with a wingspan of 6.5 inches and be about as light as a feather. Genuinely put, Pippy is a delicate one.

On Pippy’s chest is her Purple Mohave Turquoise Gem indented, possessing a large variety of coloured cobwebs of purple and blue scattered around the Gem, appearing almost like a stained-glass window with some hard to see webbing of bronze too. The shape of her Gem is in the form of a dewdrop, and with Pippy’s small size the Gem is almost basically like a fruit pip but as a Gem, which is where this young bat got her name.

Her eyes are a little big for her species of sorts, but they are still small, being a little hard to see with those beady dark eyes blending in well with her fluffy brown coat. With her wingspan being a bit wide for one like Pippy she can fly pretty well, which is relatively helpful for her who feels the need to drift away from every danger that comes. Even so, the thumbs on her wings are slightly sharp, making her an excellent climber so if the possibility she can’t fly to escape she’ll resort to climbing instead.

Personality

Pippy is scared of a lot of things, viewing things that are bigger than her to be a threat to his safety. Pippy will only reach a little over 1.1 inches in size when she’s fully grown, so he perceives just about every other Gembound as a potential threat to their well-being, with that her default emotion is usually fear. Because of this any encounters she has with others if any signs to her may indicate of malicious intentions she’ll immediately be in flight mode and will do everything he can to get away from the other Gembound she’s come across. While this mindset certainly seems to be an exhausting one to have, it is understandable if one looks at things from her perspective. Pippy’s whole world and everything in it around her is humungous in comparison to her, and it’s frightening that it almost feels unnatural on how puny she is in contrast to all of it.

Pippy is extremely wary and alert of just about everything that moves or breathes that she may encounter, even seeing a giant shadow that she’s confident isn’t a tree will frighten her and cause her to flee. With this, a potential friend needs to try their best to prove to this tiny bat they mean no harm towards her if they want to make friends with her. One needs to be sure she feels safe and comfortable in their presence which will take a bit of time for a new face of hers with how distrusting she is. One way for an excellent first impression to avoid making her want to fly away from the get-go is they’ll need to try their best to respect her boundaries.

Pippy is genderfluid but does often lean towards she/her pronouns; she does occasionally switch things around and go by he/him pronouns instead at times.

Seeing from how persistent in making sure she’s safe and will flee from something potentially threatening to her, no matter how hopeless it may seem if they were a threat does appear to display Pippy as the determined sort. Pippy may be able to benefit from this determination she has with obstacles that shall come her way, such as making friends she may take a risk in interacting with another Gembound if they seem friendly. Although it’ll be hard for her have friends from being so scared, she is well-meaning and would never harm anyone; this sweeter side will show if one succeeds in befriending her.

Pippy has shown to be needy, as she is actively craving companionship and affection from others. So now another way for one to befriend her is giving her affectionate gestures such as hugs and nuzzles, she'll practically melt with joy if she gets one. Pippy'll be sure to deliver a hug or snuggle in return, in fact, she may greet a friend with her best attempt at glomping them with her tiny wings. All in all, despite how she is an adult Gembound now she still has an innocent child-like attitude, and Pippy is so playful when she manages to come out her fearful shell.
