Appearance

Looking like a cross between a cat and a bear, this appropriately named bearcat is a shaggy, heavyset thing. Rounded ears sit atop a face almost like a raccoon, with the same sharp angles but so much bigger. With a tail the same length as her body and head together, weighed down and heavy looking, she moves with a saunter similar to a big lizard. Paws are bear-like, with bare soles on all four five-toed feet. Her fur coat is dense and coarse to the touch, with guard hairs paler and longer, giving it a wiry look. This fur is longer along her tail, back, scruff and especially the tufts from her ears.

Coloration is that of an earthy brown with hints of gray and dust thrown throughout. No discernible markings make the girl's pale gold eyes stand out against a moderately dark backdrop. Her stone, a yellowish metallic piece which replaces her right ear entirely, is made of Arsenopyrite. When arsenopyrite is heated, it becomes magnetic and gives off toxic fumes. The same can be said for the stone embedded into her skull.

Poppy smells like popcorn, thanks to scent glands in her girl bits.

Personality

Poppy isn't an introvert, not really, but she certainly seems to prefer her space. Soft spoken but optimistic and cheerful, she seems, once acquainted with, to be quite the harmless, if a tad smelly, thing. She certainly doesn't give away any of the dishonest things she's more than capable of. Intelligent, she can slight her victims out of goods and resources like its second nature- and her favorite way to do this is by convincing them to volunteer it.

She's a bit strange, once you really get to know her. She can be reckless and clumsy at times, lacking much of an imagination beyond her tricks and sneak thievery. This leads to some very poor decision making, despite the lady's keen mind and attentiveness.

Despite her sneaky survival methods- stealing food, conning favors, and so on- she is a surprisingly courageous and dependable friend. Shy of new faces but not of battle or conflict, Poppy can match the 'bear' in her species name just as adequately as any true bear in temper and ruthlessness alike. Not entirely fearless but brave enough to face what fears she does have without flinching- usually. She's a short but powerful little mama bear... cat.
