Appearance

He is simply a pig. Big, pink, hairy with lots of bristles. That's it, really.

Oh, you want 200 words? Fine.

Porkchop is, in most ways, just your average domestic pig. Fully grown, he reaches a length of over 6 feet and may weigh over 700lbs, depending on how well fed he is. As a pig, he also has some degree of natural resistance to snake venoms. A short coat of pink bristles is prickly to the touch and often grimy from wallowing in mud or snooping in dusty/dirty places. The long snout is used for digging, and is actually quite a sensitive sensory organ. Ever heard of truffle hogs? His hearing is also rather good, thanks to his floppy triangular ears. He walks with a confident swagger (when he's not sprawled on the cave floor, snoozing--AS IS HIS RIGHT). His voice is coarse, his sentences often simple, and the words commonly interspersed with grunts and snorts.

His eyes and gem is where he differs from the Earth norm. The former are iris-less and pupil-less: a pure, terrifying white that seem to glow in low light. The glow may or may not be because of his night vision magic. Porkchop doesn't like to admit that, because he thinks reasonable explanations make him seem less menacing. The latter are a set of white sapphire tusks jutting out from his jaw. They are sharp, and connected through the middle by a thick band of additional sapphire. Food gets stuck sometimes. It's really annoying, but looking cool is worth it.

Personality

Porkchop is but a simple pig.

Very simple.

First and foremost in his limited mind is power. He craves it; ambition being above all else in his set of motivations. He wants to rise to the top. To command all others in the world, to have them all serve him while he lounges in luxury, and to be as mean as he wants to any who rub him the wrong way. He wants to feel above everyone else, and for them all to know that he is better. He will quite literally do anything to get that power, provided he is not feeling too lazy at the moment. (And oh, is he lazy!) Betrayal of an earlier 'employer' or the like is not only perfectly fine; he considers it as one of the first options he'll eagerly take if given a better or easier offer.

Porkchop is aggressive in a territorial way--if he feels that someone's making fun of him, or not respecting him, he won't hesitate to jump into a fight. He collects and sits on treasure and potentially powerful items like a dragon, whether he knows how to use them or not. Maybe they'll come in handy one day, and he certainly doesn't want anyone else getting a hold of HIS valuable or magical stuff. Porkchop also tends to complain a lot. He claims it's his Creator-given right.

He is, however, sorely lacking in cunning. Oh, of course he can try to come up with clever plans and tricks, but any of his ideas not involving simple brute force are, to put it bluntly, garbage. Simple is best with this one. That is not to say that he is not intelligent. Quite the opposite--Porkchop picks up on new concepts and skills with relative ease, and may even be able to come up with feints and other tricks in the heat of the moment, but when it comes to elaborate plans for world domination or even simple forethought, he struggles. His foresight's worse than the worst sham of a fortune teller--at least they know how to pretend to predict the future.

Second barely to his cravings for power is his cravings for food. It is relatively easy to trick or distract him with a potential feast, especially one involving any kind of melons, especially especially watermelons. They're his favorite. Don't get him wrong; he'll never forgive a hated enemy because of a simple gift of watermelons. But if you're lucky, you might distract him long enough to get away.

It is rare that Porkchop will form true friendships. Most acquaintances met on good terms, he simply considers helpful or amusing for a while before he simply forgets about them. Not in the sense that he wouldn't recognize them if he saw them again--but he simply doesn't actively seek out interaction with them. They are pushed to the back of his mind until they next become relevant, which might well be never.
