Appearance

This little fennec is a cute ball of fur. As a kit, she stands at 14cm and will eventually grow to be 17cm tall and weigh 1kg as an adult. Her coat is very fluffy and tufts of fur sprout out of her ears, adding volume to the girl’s petite frame. She has a plush tail with a black tip that makes her appear larger and fluffier. Adding on to that are paws pads covered in fur, which not only help her walk on heated surfaces but also gain traction on sandy ground. Overall, Quix’s coat is a lovely cream colour with light cream and white highlights, especially along her underbelly, muzzle and paws. She has a notable marking common to fennec foxes, that is, two thick, tan stripes flowing from the eye to muzzle on both sides of her face. Pale, slate blue is the only colour breaking the neutrality of her colours. Both of the fennec’s eyes and gemstone are of a pale powder blue colour. Blue chalcedony gemstone has replaced the frontal bone of her skull and two small, sharp peaks of this stone emerge from her head, resembling a pair of horns.

Function wise, long fur helps her stay cool by day and toasty warm by night, and large ears assist by regulating body temperature, while allowing her to have extra sensitive hearing to underground prey, while the thick fur around her paws grants her mobility on sand and protection from scorching surfaces. Side note: Fennec foxes have the ability to live without water for an indefinite period of time by absorbing moisture through their diet of insects, small animals, plants and fruit.

Personality

CHAOTIC GOOD ALIGNMENT.

Spirited, Courageous, Guardian: Quix has a very positive outlook of things and faces each situation bravely. Having very high internal locus of control and self-efficacy, this girl is pretty much a doer rather than a talker and you’ll see her getting paw-first into all sorts of adventures and travels. The little fennec stands up for what she believes in, and will go the distance to protect her loved ones.

Sociable, playful: She loves interacting and gambolling around with other Gembounds. She will be very deeply rooted in pack life and will often seek out the company of others. This vibrant personality is not going to fade away. Her compact, lithe body will pack high dosage of energy that will fuel her.

Cuddly, Independent: Quix has high spurts of energy. She can be cuddly when she wants to be, or independent and not give two bats about something, very much like a feline. Some may perceive her to be hot-cold but that’s just how she is.

Manipulative, Free Spirit She harnesses her petite frame and cuteness to win others over to her side. She's also a fox that you cannot reign in. Quix does things as she fancies. Thankfully, she is good of heart, and will not do anything bad except disrupting things when she has the impulse to.

Dreamer, high aspirations : This fennec fox perceives herself to have a very bright future ahead. She is often thinking up different possibilities and will always aim to be better than she is.
