Appearance

This strange creature is as unnatural as they come - it has no corporeal form and instead exists as a mass of gas, primarily hydrogen, dense enough to create shape. The shape it usually inhabits is what appears to be an average housecat - around 10 inches at the shoulder. However, it seems to break and shift often and its body can extend and expand, although it seems to cause the creature some discomfort to do so.

Normally, it is very barely transparent, but the gas, which is as black as the void, seems to swallow all light besides the colors flickering on its surface. Waves of blues, purples, pinks, and reds are constantly flowing across the gas and shimmering, bioluminescent lights fleck its body, giving it the appearance of being shrouded in a nebula. When its body expands, the colors become less saturated and a strange but beautiful light can be seen where the gas forms the head. An odd mirage of light patterns, like the roots of a tree, branch through the gas, constantly flickering and shifting. It is invisible from the outside when the gas in condensed, save for the two glowing eye-like lights on its face. These "eyes" serve as the primary input of the nervous system, able to process light, scent, and sound.

However, since the creature is completely formless, it cannot touch or be touched itself. It has no capacity to feel at any point of its body, which includes the tiny sliver of chalcedony floating in the center of its body. However, it is highly susceptible to fire, freezing, and explosions - a single spark would most likely detonate its entire body and immediately kill it.

This creature feeds primarily off of minerals and gases, although how it eats is a mystery. It seems to absorb these things from the world around it, since it doesn't have a mouth. This also means that it cannot speak naturally and, instead, relies on the use of magic to communicate with other creatures. It seems to have its own language of flickering lights, but it is utterly incomprehensible to all other creatures. With the use of spells like Whisper, Telepathy, and Mind Reader, however, it can speak to others and its voice is quite something to hear. It's voice is like a hundred, maybe a thousand, voices at once. A beautiful, chiming, ethereal choir, heard best through more powerful spells while weaker ones simply sound like an echo, neither male nor female.

It is, without all doubt, an otherworldly spirit. Level-headed, powerful in its speaking, confident in everything it does. It is a perfect, holy creation. Claws cannot pierce its body. Teeth cannot rend its form. It cannot be killed by means of the material world. It is not mortal, no, it is a God and it is perfection.

It is beautiful and it is very well aware. Nobody can hope to match the beautiful twinkling lights that decorate its body. No one else has the beautiful, soaring colors. No fur or scales could replicate the absolute darkness. No body has its twinkling colors nor can eyes understand its language. It is crafted to be perfect in every way and it shall never doubt in itself.

The world belongs to Regalia alone. The others are but children; foolish but wholly ignorant. It is here to calm their fears, to protect and guide, but ultimately rule on high. Everything within this world is its belonging, its possession. Anything can be taken away...and anything taken from it, whether living, dead, or never alive, will be reclaimed and avenged.

Wherever it goes, home will follow. It wanders. It does not stay in one place. It must be everywhere it can be, monitor every room, every cave and tunnel, every nook and cranny. It must protect its world, its kingdom, and all of the creatures within, however tiny they may be when compared next to its glory.
