Appearance

The beast's form is that of a striped hyena. Their coat is typical of the earth species, beige of damp sand fading to a dusty brown, harsh warm charcoals smothering their face and striping their coat. The pigment around their visage is darker than normal, staining the face completely black, but it is a small abnormality upon a model animal. Dark brown eyes, almost black, glitter from their place of rest, alive in every sense. Standing at 80cm at the shoulder [31 in] they are the largest the species can get. Evenly built, their body will form considerable muscle as they grow into their prime.

Their gem is snowflake obsidian, a smooth stone of inky black speckled ivory. It rests on the left side of their face, beneath the eye like a very strange, large mole.

=== MUTATIONS ===

As of this [link tba lol] thread, Relic's face now resembles a pumpkin. Their head has been shaved clean, revealing ridged orange skin that clings to their skull tighter than before. They have lost their lips, the line between gum, tooth and face smothered by the transformation. Their eyes now glow a fire-like yellow, their mouth and nose echoing to a lesser extent. On their forehead sits a withered stem, like a unicorn horn. In addition, they have three bat wings - two large ones at the shoulder, allowing for limited flight, and a smaller one at the front right paw.

Personality

Relic remains impressionable, but not so young anymore. Firmly a follower, she struggles to organise herself in most situations unless someone tells her what to do. A contradictory mix of gullible and wary, she flip flops between decisions when left on her lonesome. Despite her big talk, she feels unqualified in most positions.

She’s still curious, maybe more so. A taste of adventure left her wanting more, and she does pursue a thrill every once in a while. In situations like those, the decisions become clearer cut, and their consequences even more so. If she screwed up, they’d let her know quick.

Cautious in most scenarios, overconfident after the first victory. The type of person to win some money in a casino, then spend it all trying to chase something bigger shortly after. Once she’s truly put her mind to anything it’s hard to chase her off, and even harder to without a fight.

At her core, she’s a sympathetic person. She doesn’t mind the company of others, so long as they don’t mind taking the lead. She was raised by a good man, so she has some semblance of a moral compass, though one easily swayed by the right influence.

===OLD WHACK PERSONALITY===

The girl is young and impressionable, maybe more so than the average fresh gembound. If you will lead, she will follow. Relic is not much of a leader by nature it seems, much more content to have the tough descisions made for her rather than hold responsibility over her own short life. The fog of new existence may fade to reveal a more assertive personality, but she will always be comfortable in a supporting role.

She is curious, as children often are, but reserved. If you make it clear its not her business, she'll back off easily and without much complaint. Relic will keep most questions to herself anyways.

Despite her naivety she holds the efficiency of a scavenger and the ruthlessness of a hunter. If driven to, she will fight and she will do so viciously. She holds little ill will, even to those who wound her pride, she simply does what she sees must be done. Ending sentient life however, is a concept she has yet to interact with meaningfully, and is assumed to be off the table in most situations.
