Red Sense by
Origin Cave
Relic is a striped hyena, a notably wimpier offshoot of its more popular relative. She's built for traveling long distances and scavenging whatever she can find. It's a quiet, often lonely way of life, but Relic is a patient animal most days.
There are some notable differences from your average specimen. These were acquired later through a sudden and non-consensual operation. Her head is hairless, lipless, and earless, covered in a tough orange skin. Her insides now glow orange. She doesn't even know what a pumpkin is.
More useful is her set of leathery wings (plus one extra). She is still too heavy for true flight, but can manage a slow, if awkward descent. The surgeon's credentials were questionable, but the result is seamless - not a stitch or scar in sight.
She is often found donning her signature armour. She doesn't know who or what Ver'kahn is, she's working on it, get off her back.
Her stone is a small and speckled snowflake obsidian, peeking shyly from her left cheek.
SCARS: awesome eye scar from that bastard Agate during wrestlign
MUTATED: After chrysalising in a deathmatch, Relic now has epic taloned feet and an extra finger on each wing. awesome
We are not sure anymore, of where we are and where we're going. Things keep happening but nothing sticks. It's an arc without an end, character without development.
Relic can't stop herself from getting involved. She is constantly tripping over her own paws, but at least it's on accident. She doesn't trust people who do the things they do for a reason. You could do anything if you justify it first.
She's a very small and delicate animal in a world that could kill her with little effort. She acts accordingly. But fuck you, she's not going to just run away from every challenge. She can be smart. She can be speedy. She could leave you in the dust, if you let her. Please let her.
She's begging at your feet. She's whining and scratching at your door. Relic wants to be somebody, but she needs you to do it for her. Just a little favour. Give her a chance to be something more.
