Appearance

Born a small, almost indiscernible ball of fluff, Sabotage is nothing short of adorable. His portly body is held aloft by four stout legs, each of which ends in a paw full of surprisingly developed claws. His forepaws are dexterous enough that he can climb and manipulate objects -- though in his youth he's admittedly rather clumsy -- although never with the amount of finesse primate-bodied gembounds wield. His head is round (to become blocky and powerful later in life), and inordinately fringed with longer fur that nearly entirely covers his . Two eyes, somehow still beady despite being too large for his head, stare out at the world. They are a heady desaturated red, a color that will only deepen as he grows older.

He's covered in a thick, soft pelt, all stark black with the notable exception of creamy white markings. These start with a pale, mottled muzzle that frames a steel grey nose. Streaks of blonde stretch up to his brow where they flare in wide arches over each eye. As he grows they will descend down and connect to make solid, symmetrical rings and complete the name spectacled bear. Down his chin drip more pale markings that spread into a blotched chest piece.

On the back of his left fore paw his gem is only barely emerging. As Sabotage grows, so will it, until it stands proud against the black fur there. A sunstone, it has the initial appearance of glass. But within it is refracted a deep, rich copper color that never reaches the surface, but appears magnified by the crystal's rough facets.

One of the first things another might notice about Sabotage is that he is exceedingly talkative. He, plainly, loves the sound of his own voice and will happily fill silence with it even when there is no one else around to hear him. But it's not often cheery chitter-chatter that fills the void; even in his youth the bear is a negative, nihilistic creature by nature. To him, life is without inherent value or purpose, and nothing that he does matters in the long run. Despite his gentle, earthy voice, and penchant for being overly formal, Sabotage tends towards the sarcastic and the blunt. This wins him few favors, since adding "sir" to an obvious insult simply makes it more insulting. Despite this, he is highly perceptive, especially to the reactions of others, and can often tell he's upset someone even if they attempt to hide it; usually he simply doesn't care. Interestingly, he can be touchy about insults -- even ones not meant to be -- directed at him or those he cares for.

Despite a lack of obvious outside pressures, he is born with a heightened sense of superstition. He is highly aware of and humbled by the mystical. As he grows, he will develop a series of ritualistic behaviors meant to ward off demons or gain favor with more positive spirits. His views on laws and rules are surprisingly draconian for someone who believes so little truly matters. He will always opt for the harshest punishments for those going against known codes, and often his suggestions are overkill. He is, however, extremely dutiful to any group he might join. Though his lack of ambition can make him seem unenthusiastic or lazy, he will always try to do right by his group.

Physically, when not abiding strict punishment ideals, he is surprisingly gentle. His dexterous hands are sensitive to pressure and there's an unusual, lazy grace about him. Despite being rather dark-natured, Sabotage is a very trusting creature, almost to the point of being gullible. He will believe another's word at face value, even if they have lied to him before. In this way, he is also easily swayed.
