Appearance

This mysterious, inky creature appears to be a mixture between a canine and some kind of winged beast. It boasts six sets of limbs, the first two a powerful pair of long, black wings; the other four are limbs upon which the creature strides. A rudimentary second set of wings line the creature's front legs that can assist it in flight. It's body is entirely black, but it has an oily, iridescent quality to it that gives it a sheen of blue, purple, and green in the right light. A stony protrusion sits upon its face, resembling that of a mask, and a ring of thick bone emerges from the back of its skull, creating a halo behind its head. Similar bony scales emerge from its legs just above its toes, which are tipped with long, white claws. Freckles of bright cyan dot its chest, where, in the center of its breast, sits a single vivid blue eye. The pupil of this eye tends to change shape with mood. While the creature's mouth is located beneath its mask, it can only see from this single eye, and the stibnite stone spikes out from the left side of the mask. This creature is completely poisonous to the touch. When fully grown Sal will stand at a good 6'1 at his shoulders.

Personality

As a child Salethyr is everything that a hybrid puppy should be. Rambunctious, curious, and every bit interested in exploring everything he can get to. He tries to learn hard about everything his dear mother attempts to teach him, but during some occasions Sal can be a little distracted. However, the one lesson that Salethyr will never forget is the fact that he is poisonous to anyone. As a child Salethyr can display a several emotions towards that known fact. Mostly confusion and at prime moments sadness. He yearns to feel the warmth of others, or to feel his mother's gentle caress. However, as a puppy, he doesn't let it get to him and continues to keep playing and learning.

As he ages, Salethyr will grow to be an exceptional beast. His emotions will shape and define him with great prowess. The sadness and confusion he once felt towards his poisonous being will grow to become bottled up emotions of detest and anger. Any hopes of becoming non-lethal to others quickly diminishes and if it were not for the affection his mother still gives him, Saryngfi would probably lose himself in his anger.

Being the son of an Alphess has certainly rubbed off on the beastly creature. Sal holds himself with a royalty any noble creature would display. He demands respect just about as much as he would give it to those worthy of receiving it. But above all, he is loyal.

Sal will struggle to create friends if only for the reason he is terrified to cause harm to anyone with his condition.
