Absolutely monstrous in appearance, blending that of both parents to form a creature both wholly alien and natural at the same time. With the basic body shape of its cat parent, but with a boost in size thanks to the other, putting it at a solid 5 feet at the shoulder. Its tone, powerful body is covered in short purple hair decorated with darker tabby stripes and lighter, almost lavender colors on its paws and the tip of its long, furred tail. All four limbs are sturdy and muscular, with a shape reminiscent of a large cat's. Tipped with monstrous, deadly black claws made for gripping and tearing and edged with three blades on each elbow and forearm. The shoulders and hindquarters of this creature are adorned with toxic quills tipped with bright greenish-yellow.
The face on this amalgamation is nearly as unnatural and alien as its life-giver. It looks like it could have been the face of a feline if not for the long horn-like appendages sticking out from both sides of its face. Six glowing, pupil-less green eyes look out blankly from these horns and the insides of its jaw - the gums and tongue - are the same sickly acidic color.
After the Trial of Hydra, it now bears a pair of bat-like wings big enough to hold its weight, although they can only do so effectively for short flights. It has also sported a second tail and each is now equipped with a scorpion’s stinger.
The Scion of Vargas ever walks in his footsteps, utterly obedient to his master and life-giver, to the point that one could easily call it a suck-up and it would be more then true. It really only takes commands from Vargas, or anyone it has been specifically told by him to follow orders from. It is a creature of minimum effort - find the easiest solution and get there as fast and efficiently as possible. That doesn't quite mean it is lazy (well...it is, a bit) or half-asses any of the work it is given, it simply means it more then enjoys its freetime. And it also enjoys naps during said freetime. If it isn't working, it can probably be found sleeping in its makeshift hut in Draco.
It isn't concerned with anything complicated - it is satisfied with its life of work, sleep, eat, work, continue. Neither is it particularly interested in making friends in the Forge, or outside the Forge. It isn't unfriendly, its actually a fairly likable beast on a good day, but, again. Without a command to do so, it will do exactly what its told, bare minimum, no extra steps. With some exceptions.
Unfortunately, it suffers from some modicum of insecurity, sometimes feeling lesser then many of the others that are at its rank. Some part of it thinks being part of the "original" litter of Vargas makes it somewhat superior but, of course, that means absolutely nothing. And so being overlooked for a job it might have wanted, not being treated as a high-ranking officer, and being reprimanded for its laziness will often give it some pretty major FOMO. And so it tries harder. Gives up a bit more of that precious naptime just to prove to Master Vargas - and ONLY Vargas - that it can be useful to him. That it is worthy of a station higher then just "another Vargas spawn."
It is a creature of survival - there is really no such thing as pride to someone like Scion. Pride in Vargas exists, pride being of his blood, but pride in itself? No. It will do what it has to to survive. Stab allies in the back, grovel at the feet of the Masters, whatever it has to. If it feels like its in danger, then it turns to complacency. Nothing else matters but staying alive.
