Appearance
A large specimen of a deer, he stands at around 5 feet tall at the shoulder, all muscle wrapped in short, brown hair atop four long, thin legs. A lush mane of a deep orange color, glittering with flecks of gold and baby blue and lion-like in its texture and shape, protects his neck and the back of his head, crawling down his chest and ending on his upper belly. Similar flame-like wisps of hair are found on each ankle and at the end of his whip-like tail. Across his body are found brilliant golden scales that sparkle under the light, most notable over his back, shoulders, and upper flank, around his knees and elbows, over the bridge of his nose, and around the eyes. These scales are both beautiful and fire resistant, giving him some protection from the firestorms he conjures.
Stretching out from his head are a pair of fairly simple antlers, with three tines. Forming a third point of this "crown" is an iridescent fire opal horn, set between his eyes, not perfectly straight or smooth, but beautiful, glimmering and flickering under certain lights. His eyes sometimes reflect these lights - they are a light, grayish blue with flecks of gold. Personality
This young beast has much to learn about the world and much to experience. His early cycles will be rash and bold and ever-changing as he slowly grows up. At his core, however, unbreakable and unchangeable, is his need to feel alive. There is nothing like the rush of adrenaline, the taste of blood, the sound of a heartbeat in your ears. Whether this manifests in daredevil behavior bordering on pure stupidity, or racing through the fields until his legs collapse beneath him will probably depend on the day and the person he's interacting with. But there is a hunger in him, for life and joy and a sense of fulfillment. He is not one to waste away or waste time - every moment is precious.
His sometimes erratic, energetic behaviors also tend to foster a sense of pride and boldness. He's not afraid of anyone or anything, until the day comes where he comes across something worth being afraid of. This can sometimes make him seem a little rude or blunt, but he's not an unapproachable guy. In fact, he's quite likeable and fairly charismatic. He likes company and, even more so, competition. He's an easy one to foster friendly rivalries (and unfriendly ones) with and he'll always take a competitive brawl, race, or other activity. Unfortunately, he's not very good at losing, nor does he have any patience for being toyed with or made a fool of. History
