Appearance

After so long asleep, Shadara is now fully grown. She is now 12 feet long and has rather hard scales. The scales are mostly a grey-green, but become redish on her tail and head. He underbelly is a very light grey. She has a lean build for a crocodile..

Her head is long, narrow, and filled with large, sharp teeth. Shadara’s piercing red eyes sit on the top of her skull, like any other crocodilian. The eyes have a sclera the same color as the iris, and a slitted pupil. They watch everything nearby with intent, darting around in their sockets..

At the end of a relatively long and flexible tail sits a crimson red imperial topaz. It shimmers in the light, and has a very soft glow. When Shadara uses the fire magic the jewel gifts her, or feels extreme negative emotions, primarily rage, fear, shock, or frustration, both it and her eyes burn brightly with red-orange fire..

She has a keen sense of smell, but her eyesight and hearing are rather average. Shadara is not a fast runner, but can slink away in a quick burst of speed. She does not know how to swim, but instinct will soon call her to it. He voice is rather deep and typically has a hissing sound to it.

Personality

Shadara has seen the beauty of Polaris. She will soon find more beauty in other rooms. The crocodile wishes for the beauty to be hers, her own to rule. But despite being physically an adult, she is still young in the mind, a result of her long slumber. She is afraid of the world around her. Whenever cornered, she will hiss, open her mouth wide, and lash her tail about in a threat.

However, she quick to act and possessing a blazing temper, typical of fire magic, and she often finds herself in the deep end, and stuck in sticky situations. This along with her impatience and lack of self control are all driving forces that cause her to lash out. She is rather determined and stubborn, only backing down when fearful for her life.

Sometimes Shadara explores the gleaming caverns, but she often can be found on the bank of the Crystal River, stacking stones or watching the relatively stupid and noncognitive gembound fish in the waters. She is calm when unprovoked, but also doesn’t have much of a sense of humor.

However, when hungry, she will lash out at anything moving, in a ravenous, feral attempt at self preservation. During such a state, she is highly dangerous and should be avoided.
