Appearance

About three feet tall at the shoulder and weighing some hundred-fifty pounds, Shida is quite the bizarre hybrid. In appearance, she is much like her life-giver: almost leopard-like in coloring (though her skin is furless), with neon green-tinted feather-like scales forming manes, foot-feathering, and tail-feathering along with short, stunted, flight-incapable wings. The biggest of these is an almost lion-like mane covering the majority of her neck. Her skull is fairly catlike, gives way to a distinctly sloth-like face with slightly jutting fangs, giving Shida a pretty adorable facial appearance. Her front legs are noticeably thin, like those of a horse, ending in cloven hooves with the back legs are stronger and stockier in build, ending with feline-esque claws. The long, thin, dark spines along her back along with the boot-like black markings, mane, and teardrop-markings on the face give it a sort of "punk rock" appearance. The stone is a rough Peridot spread over a small part of her abdomen, making laying flat on her stomach somewhat uncomfortable while providing weak protection to a small portion of the belly. Though her dentition is fairly omnivorous, Shida is entirely an herbivore. She has a fairly rough voice, mostly androgynous with a tone that's similar to sandpaper and an almost snarky undertone.

Personality

It's easy to mistake Shida as nothing but arrogance and attitude, but it isn't always the case. Sure, she might strut around the caves, confident and outgoing, acting like she owns the place, but she's quite good at heart. She may talk down to everyone she meets, she might seem like she's just...kind of an idiot sometimes, with all the risks she takes and all the rules she disregards, but she isn't malicious. She's simply someone that wants to experience. She'll throw herself into potentially dangerous situations if there's a payout or even just for the hell of it. She knows when to step back, though, and won't toss herself into something that would surely get her killed. But if someone dares her to do something, or if refusing would somehow harm her reputation, well, then there's no stopping her.

She keeps her friends and family close - she cherishes them more then anything else. She can be a bit clingy at times, following around whoever has her attention for the day, demanding to know why someone had left her for a time, or fretting over their safety. She cares very much for anyone that does good to her and will protect them with her life. For those that do bad, however, the people she can call an enemy, she won't spare a single ounce of sympathy. They'll be the ones that get her sharp tongue and an avalanche of insufferable attitude. She's not afraid to pull out her fangs as well. She won't seek out violence, but she' not afraid to be the first one to punch if things escalate.
