Appearance

Even as a cub, Baffin was large. The chrysalis that contained him had been more a prison than a safe place to develop. He came out with paws so big he had a hard time walking. His coat was as white as marble and as soft as feather down. Between his large brown eyes rested a nose that was nearly all black, save for a pink stripe down the middle. His stone, a labradorite, can be found on the soft skin of his bottom jaw. The stone itself is oval in shape and smooth, its color dances with hues of blue, green and gold. As he ages, the stone pushes further out of the skin and will eventually completely cover the skin under his jaw, stopping at the chin and before his neck. When he reaches his full potential, Baffin maxes out around 990lbs and is roughly 8.5 feet in length. His muscles will develop and become nearly as strong as the stone that rests under his chin. However, he will still have a layer of fat, making him appear more squishy than strong. His paws, edged with long black claws, will finally seem to be just the right size for his large lumbering body. As time passes, his fur dulls to more of an off-white and his face takes on an even darker shade that is closer to gray than white. His fur will also grow longer around his front legs and belly, while the rest of it remains relatively short.

Personality

Baffin could easily be described as a gentle giant. This polar bear has a soft spot for anyone and everything, as long as they aren’t aggressive towards him. It was as if this cub developed with too much love in his heart and now he has to find a way to share as much of it as possible. He found joy in making friends and having companions. He also found that being alone is absolutely terrible, no one to talk to, no one to snuggle with, no one to do anything with! This is something he may find remaining strong throughout his adult hood as well. Of course, being a gentle giant does have its downsides. Baffin is not a big fan of conflict and physical confrontations leave him curled in a big fluffy ball. Seems like a waste of all that muscle, right? All that muscle only formed because he has a habit of flipping rocks over. It started as a cub, there are many things that can be under rocks and the bigger the rock the bigger find! So really his muscles are for exploration instead of combat. This polar bear has a lot to learn about life, he is still a bit naive, but perhaps trials and tribulations will wizen him up.
