Appearance

This feline is lithe with thick, patterned fur, splotches of black and orange laid over his white belly and face. Black is strewn about a bit more predominantly. The orange, meanwhile, holds stripes across them, primarily on his sides, hindquarters, and face. White feet have webbing between the toes and hide sharp, pointed claws within. They're given a somewhat fingerless-glove style, as each is topped by color only to be overlain by the white that marches up his limbs.

His face is averagely round, a white blaze running up the orange surrounding his stormy blue eyes. It splatters on his muzzle and chin, splitting his nose in two colors between the red and white provided. His muzzle holds the same length as the more common cats around the caves. Two thin, triangle-like ears top his head with fur sprouting from the insides.

Above his two shoulder-blades lays a chunk of deep orange amber that provides him his magic. This magic- fire- congregates around the gem and the one color on his body when used. However, as he isn't any different from the average, fire-susceptible denizen; this magic readily harms him if he uses it for too long or incorrectly.

Solis carries himself with purpose despite his tendency to stumble, his pace typically quick along the floors of the caverns he traverses. Determination sets easily into his eyes, and ambition shows easily when it crosses his mind.

Personality

Curiousity killed the cat. But- well, okay, with his clumsiness, it may end up being Solis's end someday.

But today is not that day. Resilient, Solis bounces back from the myriad of falls and mishaps he experiences, navigating about the caves like a walking disaster. It's a wonder how he's still alive with his clear disregard for his own safety. Not to mention the more fragile gem he carries.

Any perceived weakness is ignored by the calico as he travels. A self-imposed goal in life includes mapping out the entirety, finding hidden crevices and tucked away corners of paradise he could share with others.

If only he could figure out a better way of recording his map. Instead, he keeps it all memorized; while he's excellent at visually remembering things, nuances such as names and things people have said seem to be shoved away to make room for his explorations. He gets distracted enough in his 'work' that sometimes he misses whole sentences.

He's somehow optimistically narcissistic. While he's genuinely personable and believing in others, he stands by the faith that he has fairly bad luck and he should keep others safe despite his lack of it for himself. Too many precautions are followed when anyone other than he is involved in anything he does. Murphy's Law is hard at work here.

When he's not busy, he does enjoy a bit of good-hearted 'pranking', which only ends up as typically wholesome gifts for his friends. A good laugh keeps him going throughout the day.
