Appearance

Sora is used to thinking of herself as large. Among her siblings, she's just slightly taller than Kini-yolotl. Her coarse fur is dark and her body is round with fat, save for the pale, tan streak along her neck looking like a collar around her throat. Her left eye has been replaced by the glimmering gem of yellow-green chrysoberyl, providing a stark contrast to the dark brown-black of her right. She carries herself with a pride perhaps undeserving by virtue of her humble appearance. As with just about every hoglike animal ever, Sora is basically just a fat little football.

After all, why shouldn't she be proud? Her body serves her well, from her excellent sense of smell to her surprisingly muscular bulk (though she lacks tusks, she is not defenseless, and her teeth are a force to be reckoned with). She also tends to exude a rather unpleasant odor due to her scent glands (there is a reason that her species is sometimes called the musk hog), but she has little to no control over this. Sora's feet are optimized for digging and her body for defending. Perhaps she cannot look up at the sky and maybe her prickly fur is rather uncomfortable when sleeping in a dog-pile, but at the end of the day, she is the perfect shape to do what she needs to do and is happy with that.

Personality

Others would describe them as: Energetic, decisive, and strong-willed.

Sora is a force to be reckoned with. She is a whirlwind of energy and as stubborn as a mule -- unyielding like the very caves themselves and unwilling to compromise on anything. She isn't afraid to get in your face when you refuse to give in, and has never been worried about throwing her weight around. While not exactly the best critical thinker, she makes decisions quickly and easily based on her own instincts and rarely leaves room for debate -- she will go with or without her siblings at her side.

However, that's not to say that Sora is entirely some unyielding bully. She isn't afraid to stick up for her siblings and defend them as if they were her herd, and doesn't ignore cries for help. While she is suspicious of strangers due to her limited upbringing, she isn't a monster -- Sora is kind to others and would not hesitate to sacrifice herself to save someone she loved. Ultimately, she is a hog -- stubborn, rash, and decisive, but caring and affectionate. A true big sister type!

However, she's highly skittish when it comes to her blind side, and will not hesitate to snap at or stomp on anyone who comes up on her from the left.

History

Hatched alongside the other cave gems and cared for in the first three cycles by The Masked Merchant. It was a strange life, but not a harmful one, and in their fourth cycle, they were all put in stasis to await the Trial. Now they've awoken again, and dear Sora is ready to face whatever might be coming.
