Appearance

Talion's most distinctive feature is his russet colored heart shaped face on a smoothly rounded, tuftless head. The feathers around and beside his large, inky eyes are a dark, mahogany brown, and the feathers down his throat and just above his chest are a light tawny hue. The russet color returns down his chest, and covers his entire belly. Within the chest feathers, and all down the back of his head, shoulders and wings though, the owl is covered in dark grey feathers that are peppered with stripes of white and black. He has long, rounded wings, a short tail and long legs, which combines to give him a distinctive, buoyant, loping flight. His stone, a smoky quartz, protrudes from his chest above his heart in a short, jagged line. It starts over his sternum, both under and outside of the skin, and goes over his heart, ending just under his wing. It protrudes more from his sternum, and tapers down to barely anything by his wing. It ranges in color from his chest to his side as well. Near his chest, it is very translucent with a reddish brown hue. As it crosses his heart though, it darkens to a dark brown, and can barely be seen through the little pieces on his side.

Personality

Talion is a wary and deceptive creature. From early on, he has little regard of others, and a definite lack of trust in anyone he meets. He silently questions everything he encounters, and rarely reveals his true thoughts. Instead, he imitates the attitude of those around him, hiding any emotion he may feel so that he appears "normal" to his peers. The secret to his mask is the extreme concern for detail that the owl has. Talion is more watchful than he is social, but never wanting to miss the tiniest piece of information makes him have to converse with others. To him, it all seems to make up something much greater than himself or the other creatures. It is his belief that there is something meant for them all, but no one else is as watchful as him to help him discover what it is. The main chink in his armor is his spitfire temper, which is prone to going off at the slightest injustice, imagined or real. He is quick to accuse, slow to forgive, and tends to hold a grudge for a long time, even if he was wrong in the first place. He doesn't like being wrong.

History
