Appearance

Tatiana is a sage Grouse. As a chick, she will be a meager few inches in length. Covered in downy feathers, mottled tan and black. Her eyes, from birth, will be a bright, eye searing magenta. They have a constant squint, as if she were judging you. That is, if you can see her eyes. As a youngster, her stone will cover her eyes. It is shaped like a bowl cut hairstyle, and obscures sight until four cycles. Her beak will be taper to a point. Her wings will be large enough to allow her flight, but too weak for sustained flight. She will only take off as a last resort. As an adult, her feathers will be a woodsy mottled brown and white. Her tail feathers will be sharply pointed, with white ends. Her underside will be pale, creamy feathers, with a sagging pouch beneath her throat. Within this pouch are two yellow egg-like appendages she can inflate. She will be twenty eight inches long as an adult, and five and a half pounds. Her body is round, with a small head. She is around the same size as many other pheasants. The creamy feathers of her underside continue up to near her head, terminating in a crown of thin hair-like feathers. Her head has two yellow eyebrows perched above her eyes, with a stripe of white feathers remenescent of eyeliner. Her gait changes with her. It could be wobbly and unsure, or strong and sure-footed.

Personality

Tatiana is an interesting creature. She has no real name--her real name is dependent on mood. Tatiana itself is only one state. She is one of two states. Depending on her mood, and her energy level, she will be either Tatiana, or the other. The one whom she calls Chet. In her Tatiana state, she is dopey. Her gait is loose, she pays no attention to what surrounds her, and she often trips over herself. She quickly forgets who she's talking to. She doesn't understand what is happening around her and doesn't try. She inflates her chest in this state, though whether this is intentional or not is a mystery. In her Chet state, she is hellfire and fury. Her gait is sure. She swings from side to side, and her pouch is laid flat. She is sure she deserves everyone around her. She desires their doting, their admiration, everything they have to give her. She believes herself the pinnacle of beauty in this state. Chet desires workout. She will repeatedly fly in circles just to work her wing muscles. She is sharp and quick to learn, and hates everyone that does not give her the time of day. Or, most likely, if you are simply within her line of fire.
