Appearance

Art + Desc by Bluebird! Nine feet from stout snout to tail base, this chunky little fish dragon is silver with gold accents in their scales and in their bones and talons, pale green eyes set in black sclera sit under bone-plate set brows. They have three eyes, one set mid-forehead, giving them very solid vision to allow them to hunt with their cone like teeth set in their stout face framed with thin and wicked horns, and a pair of square and small folded ears. With small fins across their body, on their legs, under the jaw, and a fin under where their pelvis sits with a muscular base. They have gills against their jaw and under it, with one slit being directly under it and the other set on the neck. Very thick all around, and well designed for water life, this comparatively small dragon is thin only from the front, with their torpedo like body allowing them to cut through water with ease. Wings built into their forelegs like their father's allow them flight, but thanks to their smaller size, they won't need to fling themselves up in order to gain flight but instead, a running start will do. Like their father, they have bony plates on their underside, from jawline to the base of their tail, stopping in a folded shape to allow for free movement of the appendage.

Their gemstone is a pale green with golden speckles, and grows in a cluster along their under jaw. It's a couple inches at it's largest point and luckily doesn't get in the way of things much.

Since their ill-fated trip to the black city, Telesto has changed quite a bit. Much like a lightning ray, they can now produce a sharp, potentially deadly electrical shock. From the lightsting, they got the ability to light up any part of their body with any color of glow they want, making them even shinier and hard to look at. Finally, as a result of their chrysalization, there is now a rift in their right cheek. It's shallow, but jagged enough on the inside to occasionally scratch up their tongue and cause problems with eating and talking.

Personality

Having three eyes, they're pretty good at observing. And observing is exactly what they do. Whether from the surf or the sky, chances are they are watching. That isn’t to say they’re a complete wallflower. If you happen to catch their interests- and they deem you either not a threat or interesting enough to be worth the risk- they may start a conversation. Otherwise they are distant to all but their family and the handful of gembound they may consider friends.

They are certainly a creature of the water. They spend nearly all their time in the water, being clumsy both on land and in air. They’ll likely make a den either underwater or somewhere very nearby, and in that den will be a dragon’s hoard of sorts. Mostly items that they find during exploring- shells, pretty pebbles or rocks, even bones or other trinket. The ‘value’ of the item doesn’t matter to them as much as the story behind it. This can lead to their ‘hoard’ looking like a large collection of random items and junk. Don’t you dare tell them that though.

When they are angry, they do not hold back. As a child, this manifests as ruthless tantrums, but as they mature, so do their methods. Their strikes are both incredibly destructive and patiently calculated. Like a tsunami, they are calmest right before they strike. There might be a couple calm threats- final warnings before they crash down with all the fury of an ocean tempest ravaging a ship.
