Appearance

Tethys's structure is exactly like those of other leopard seals. She has a long and muscular body shape, with her tail ending in flippers. She also has large front flippers that help her move and steer through the water. Tethys has short clear whiskers that are used to help her sense her environment. This female has a counter shaded coat, which is the standard for her species. Her top half is of a dark silver, and her bottom half is of a white-ish color, topped off with almost black spots that run along her bottom half. Her eyes are of a deeply dignified, yet simple black. Tethys does not have ears, but instead has an internal ear canal that is there which she can hear through, in place of ears. She has sharp and pointy teeth that can do a lot of damage.

At four cycles, Tethys will no longer be a seal pup, but a fully grown true sea predator. She will be 12 feet in length and weigh a great whopping 1100 pounds! She will have grown into her massive jaws, with large teeth at 2 inches in length, making her a dangerous and formidable predator. She will have gained more muscle as well.

Personality

"You can't cross the sea by merely standing and staring at the water"

Water isn't something to be taken for granted. It's a realm to be treated with the upmost importance. It is Tethys's home after all, living most of her time underneath its blue surface. This sea creature sees herself as a keeper of sorts, when it comes to her home. Water represents dreams, emotions, magic and healing to the seal. It's a world that she never strays from, and always sticks close too.

Even as a youngster, Tethys is very brave one. She lets nothing get to her, and will even stick up for herself when someone steps out of line. As an adult, she will be fearless, and will have a brave warrior-like personality. She won't be afraid to fight for herself, or her home, the water. Though, she will be kinder towards children, willing to correct them.

She loves to hunt underneath the sea. Anything she can get her jaws on in the water, aside from other gembounds, she will happily eat.

Tethys has an Irish accent. She is able to speak English and Irish.

Tethys is an adventurous one, that's for sure. She loves to explore, and more importantly, meet other gembounds. She also loves to see what she can find beneath the deep blue waters of the caves.

Tethys has the unique talent to sleep underwater and resurface for air without waking, which is something her species can do. Also, underwater she can produce trills, grunts, low frequency moans and growling noises to communicate. When hunting, and eating, she throws her prey viciously in the water, ripping it apart in the process, eating chunks out of it.

Though she may belong in the water, just like the depths of the unknown water, she also possesses a type of magic that befits the unknown. Yes, Tethys possesses arcane magic. She sees this magic as a way to connect better with the caves. As well as find out things that others cannot. She never wishes for a different type of magic, for she is already blessed with magic of the arcane. She wishes to become talented with her magic, and use it to unravel secrets of the caves, and others.

Tethys is entirely loyal to the caves, and will gladly stand for the caves. She is also loyal to those who gain her favor, and will fight for them as well.

When grown as an adult, she will speak mystical and yet wise advice unto others. She is able to do this some even as a child. Also as an adult, she will have developed an aggressive personality and will unleash it as she sees fit.
