Appearance

REFERENCE IMAGE
Teyouma has an elongated quality to his limbs and torso, giving him a wiry appearance that borders on alien; at the very least, there is an uncanny quality to his appearance. He has long arms and legs, long hands and feet, and a black fuzz across his body that bleeds out over his shoulders, where a more saturated pumpkin orange overtakes the darkness. His entire body is covered in thin hair up to his elbow and knee joints. His rudimentary hands and feet are talon-tipped and have a leathery bird-like appearance.

The wings that he inherited post-revival have the same coloration but in reverse - primarily gold, back at the tips, and barred very lightly where the colors separate. These limbs are smaller than his true arms and it is unknown if they could support his meager weight in flight as he has never tried to use them in such a manner; they sprout from his lengthened back, beneath the muscle cluster that controls his main arms.

There is substantial scar-tissue along the wing's joints from where he once pulled them off of his body, although they have healed substantially after a lengthy hibernation. The wings are often folded up against his back but he will also use them as a shield, or as shelter if needed.

Teyouma's gemstone is located where his heart ought to be, which might explain some of his behaviors. At some point he cleaved his heart in half with the thought of making himself a friend, but never completed such a feat - but after his hibernation his stone has also recovered. The labradorite imbibes his blood with a dull glow.

Personality

Time, distance, darkness, and solitude have changed him in ways he cannot fully comprehend. He isn't the boisterous mess as he was before; something calmer, which is a welcome shift but an eerie one. He is a watchful beast and would rather be the witness to the events within the cave system rather than a participant, or so it would seem. Nothing has motivated him beyond his now commonplace routine of observation, hibernation, and silent contemplation over that which he has witnessed - at least not for many cycles.

History

[Cycle 1]
Dropped from their Labradorite chrysalis as one of the first Gembounds in Origin Cave, directly on Leon's face. Following their introduction, Teyouma agrees to travel with Leon as they investigate the caves; eventually they plan on meeting up with Leon's friend Rohan. At some point they separated though, for a brief bit of time, and Teyouma had the chance to explore the Tower and collect a few shiny things for himself.

[Cycle 2]
On returning to Polaris, he encounters the newborn Gembound called Fortune, and then travels around on his own for a while. He gets too close to Maji Walezi territory - after eating some mushrooms he magically created for himself, as a form of sustenance - and is killed. His stone is 'adopted' by Bevy.

[Cycle 5]
Eventually, Bevy is compelled to bring the stone back to life - she isn't confident in her ability to do so, but somehow her magic fills the Labradorite, and she leaves it in order to attend to other things. Upon returning, the Labradorite has grown substantially; it looks as if it is forming an egg.

[Cycle 6]
Teyouma II hatches from its chrysalis, and meets its "mother" for the first time. But the reunion is not a good one - not only does the newborn rip its own new wings off, but it poisons Bevy's friend Dark, and runs off towards Polaris.

[Cycle 65] Teyouma wakes from a long hibernation, meets a few gembound, and finds himself a home among the Voidcrawlers. When the Wild Hunt begins he sticks with the Three Kings, ever watchful.
