Appearance

As a colt, Thanatos is just a vague idea of what he'll become. Awkward with gangly legs, he looks like a disproportional foal, but as he nears his second cycle, it'll become evident that he's from the draft lineage and will weigh in at 1,450 lbs fully grown and stand at 17 hh at the shoulder, or 68 inches. A freight train of a horse, he will be simply massive. Muscle is born on the bones of this horse and seems to just multiply as he ages, becoming a powerhouse before he's really an adult.

His coat is solid, inky black like the trademark of his breed. His mane grows longer than the average horse, hanging lower than his neck like a wild mustang, only longer. His forelock is long as well, blending with his mane and covering the left side of his face and eye all of the time. Around his hooves, long feathers grow from his wrists and ankles and hang over his large, black hooves and drag the ground behind him. His tail is long and full, certainly going to drag the ground at least a little once he's fully grown. Both his mane and tail have a slight wave to the hair, making this stallion a true stud.

His visible eye is a bright, foreboding red that simply glares at just about everyone. The other is a murky black, masking the pupil inside. Although the man is not blind, he cannot see through his mane that covers it all that well. His stone, as black as his heart coat, is a smooth chunk of obsidian growing downwards out of his chin in a shape that resembles a spike that has been broken and smoothed down to create a rounded tip. As his matures, longer hairs will grow under his jaw and chin, almost hiding the gemstone that is really only less than four inches long.

Personality

Thanatos isn't exactly the friendliest horse in the caves. In fact, he's not friendly at all. He's rude, blunt, and really just doesn't care about you or your crap. He's a loner through and through, though finds comfort in being around his own kind. Other gembounds he can live without, and would actually rather live without. He's cocky, stubborn, and sarcastic, too. Not really a good combination there, especially when you add in his lack of ability to control his anger and that he's hot headed. He'll shove his way though a crowd to get where he wants, but it's really no surprise with how selfish the stallion is. He truly only thinks of himself.

There really isn't anything nice to say about Thanatos, however he will protect his herd. He'd put his life on the line to protect his equine similars, though he'll always see himself as better. Even if another Friesian walked these caves, he'd know he was better, as if he comes from some royal bloodline. He's terribly difficult to get along with, as it's his way or the highway. He'll interrupt if he feels what he has to say is more important or totally just walk away if you bore him. It's definitely not going to be easy to even come close to becoming friends with this stallion, especially if you're not a horse.
