Appearance

Toboggan is an Alusky dog, or rather, an crossbreed between an Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky. This makes them basically a creature with boundless energy who absolutely THRIVES in the cold. They're extremely fluffy, with a black top-side and a white underbelly, legs, and face. They're just a dog. A good boy.

Their gemstone sure is... interesting. The brown agate stone, with it's marbled layers, resembles the wooden runners of a sled. The gemstone, of course, is one solid piece, connecting via an internal bar that runs through approximately the middle of the stomach. They lack the part of the front leg below the knees, and what remains of the front legs is fused to the gemstone, creating a sort of steering method. Their hind legs, remarkably, are completely intact, though mostly used for pushing off the ground and scooting. The 'runners' themselves are curved at the front and straighten out on the end, and are wide enough for the hind legs to rest on them. Of course, this whole set-up will cause various mobility problems, especially during childhood. Use of spells and assistance from others will alleviate this somewhat, but probably won't eliminate it. Additionally, their front legs will likely suffer frequent dislocations, fractures, and other such injures due to their unusual situation.

Personality

Right now they're a puppy. They enjoy puppy things, like barking and chasing things and playing in mud. Given, their stone hinders them somewhat in certain aspects, but they're clever enough to find workarounds. Besides, it isn't all bad! Toboggan will grow to find great joy in sledding down the icy slopes of their home cave, Ursa.

While Ursa certainly isn't as bad as say, Hydra, it can still be a pretty harsh place to live. But Toboggan will learn all the little skills of living in such an icy place, and, in time, become a rescuer of those lost in the endless snow. Whether they become aligned with or against mother is fully dependent on who finds them first.
