Appearance
Elegant and surprisingly draconic in nature, this beast is a sight to behold. They are a nice 69 inches at the shoulder, with a body length of 8 ft and a muscular tail nearly the same length. Their tail almost always drags along the ground, but can make a deadly weapon if need be. Their legs are long and delicate like a deer's.
Their long neck leads to a deer-like skull with only a few differences. Their mouth stretches wide into a cat-like grin, full of tiny teeth well suited for tearing apart plant matter- or meat. Their eyes are more forward-facing and completely replaced by black diamond. The black diamond also replaces a bit of the bone below the eye, almost as though the void is leaking from those sockets. A fur coat covers their body, thickening on the neck and face. Their pelt is capable of changing colors like a chameleon. This will be controlled mostly by emotion and instincts as a child, and they will slowly learn to control it themself as they grow and learn. Their default color is a greyish brown, lighter on the bottom and darker on top riddle with faint striping. Personality
Tova is insatiably curious. Everything and anything is worth learning, and they endeavor to gather it all. This will lead to an incredibly nosy creature who is only kept in check after learning their actions can, in fact, have consequences. Eventually, they will learn that other gembound- especially older ones- are veritable wellsprings of knowledge, void of the risk of harm through mistakes. They aren't naturally a social creature, but not asocial, either, and the allure of knowledge is enticing enough to turn a shadow into a spotlight.
Tova is patient, if they know they will be rewarded in even the smallest way. But finding their actions fruitless will make them spiteful and angry indeed. They are methodical even in getting revenge, maybe even taking a whole cycle to come up with a fitting punishment and following that through. This time may be enough for them to decide on forgiveness- but you better watch out if they stay steadfast on their decision.
Tova is many things, but one thing they are not is empathetic. They do not 'feel' emotions so much as they 'know' emotions. Like how they know pain in their gut means hunger, and rain upon a roof means safety. Consequentially, this means emotion will be something they will have to learn. Who teaches them and how will have a huge impact on how they treat and think about other gembound.
