Quick Stats: 5" tall, 8-in tail | Tawny-orange/grey/black fur | Vibrant burnt-orange eyes | Smells like moss, wet earth, crushed leaves, sweet fruit, mint, etc. Pygmy Marmosets being the smallest monkeys in the world, Tukluk is quite tiny, as you can probably imagine. He actually won’t grow more than maybe a half an inch from cycle one to four, and will only be about five inches in length when he is fully grown, with a (comparatively) much longer tail, at eight inches. His fur is a mix of tawny-orange, grey, and black and he has bright, burnt-orange eyes. His head looks bigger than it actually is because he has a kind of poofy mane of fur around his face. The sides and tops of his ears poke out from this mane, but are almost completely covered from view. His long tail has black rings around it. It is not prehensile, but it does help him keep his balance while moving from tree to tree. He also does not have opposable thumbs like some other primates. Instead, his fingernails are longer and claw-like. This helps him grip tree bark better, and snag fruit and insects to eat. His main diet, however, is tree sap. His Gem is a narrow strip of bloodstone that is embedded into his right collarbone, but generally it is completely hidden from view by his fur. The Stone follows almost the complete length of his collarbone, but it doesn’t hinder his movement. If one could see it, they would note that it is a dark, mossy green color, with dots of crimson red coloring it. Tukluk can move very quickly if need be, and has the ability to leap 15 feet, which helps him navigate from tree to tree, as well as avoid predators. Fully grown, he will only about 3.5oz, which, put into perspective, is only about 1/5 of one pound. As tiny as he is, he could get hurt very easily, and instinctively tends to avoid the ground as much as possible, because that’s where everyone else runs around with their gigantic feet. Personality

Tukluk has a bit of Napoleon Complex. Being as small and rather helpless as he is compared to everyone else around him, he can come off seeming bitter or spoiled. He wants what everyone else has, whether that be their Magical powers, or items in their possession. Generally, he won’t straight up steal something from someone since he is very aware that even being flicked by another Gembound could result in death or serious injury. If he thinks he can get away with it, he’ll try it, though he will beat a hasty retreat if he suspects he’s been caught, or that he’s about to be. Tuck is very determined to be just as good as everyone else, and although sometimes his selfish nature causes him to try and steal his way to power, most of the time he tries to become powerful all on his own. This results in him taking everything he comes across as some kind of challenge, whether that be climbing to the top of the Spire, or going on a quest to find every single spell in the whole world. He’s very competitive and is a sore loser, and this kind of behavior makes it hard for him to find friends. Plus, even if he did have friends, he’d probably just try to steal their stuff or tell them what to do, or flat-out ignore them. However, he’s not evil by any means. Even if he was a hundred times his actual size, he wouldn’t kill someone for their stuff, or for any other reason, unless they tried to kill him first. He’s just… not exactly interested in following the Golden Rule. He treats others the way he wants to treat them, and foolishly expects them to be kind, though he does try to at least stay on a Gembound’s neutral side so that they don’t squash him in his sleep. Don’t expect him to have your back in a fight, though, except maybe from afar, with spells — somewhere he can cast them without ever being spotted. Through Roleplay CYCLE ONE Tuck isn't as much of a coward as he was when he first emerged from his chrysalis. His time spent in the Cave so far has proven to him that he can take care of himself fairly well, and he is confident and arrogant more often than not. He also finds it easier to make friends than he thought, and has met quite a lot of Gembounds in his travels. He's still young and foolish quite often, but he is learning fast, becoming very skilled in Magic, and enjoys spending time with others, much to his own surprise. CYCLE TWO Tuck's constant use of Magic has proven to him without any shadow of a doubt that his size really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. And he's not as mean as he was when he was a newborn. He has learned the properties of every plant he's ever come across and knows their medicinal uses by heart. Now he can use his Plant Magic to heal others, which gives him a strange sense of purpose that he never thought he would feel. He still has childlike tendencies, like teasing others and getting jealous that someone has something Shiny and he doesn't, but that's to be expected. Who knows if he'll ever get over those petty things. At least he's got a true purpose now -- to learn all the spells he can, not only for himself, but also to truly be able to heal others as much as he can. CYCLE FIVE Neutral Good | ESFJ-A | The Reformer | Aries The Caves went silent for a long time, and Tuck took part in the Second Great Hibernation without even realizing what was happening. He Awakened once again as a fully-grown Gembound, with a deeper voice and a much more somber attitude, though due to less emotional and mental growth than he could have had, he still has the mind of a younger Gembound to a degree. He still fears those bigger than him, though that's an instinctual thing due to his tiny, fragile size. He's probably less likely to try and piss off another Gembound now, though only time will tell if this more serious attitude holds true or is only a phase. CYCLE SEVEN Tuck ended up sort of reverting back to his old semi-grouchy ways. And he's picking fights again, a little bit. He's also coming to realize that he has a deep-seated fear of those we might deem "crazy" or "mentally ill." (OOC Note: Please remember that IC does not equal OOC and that I, as a player, am not prejudiced against mentally ill people). Tuck is usually pretty fearless, but the second other characters start acting "weird," he books it outta there pretty much immediately. And, although he might want to heal your physical wounds, he's not a good character to dump your emotional baggage onto because he'll probably just ignore you or tell you he has no idea how to help you, or he might just straight-up ridicule you. So, while he has grown up quite a bit, he still has a long way to go, and it is unclear whether this "fear" of "crazy Gembounds" will dissipate. History
