Living up to the greatest legacy of African lions, Usui bears the full stature of his kind. Upon reaching cycle 2, the cub exchanges his gangly paws and chubby limbs for thick, stout limbs and stands at ¾ the height of a small lioness. Thick tufts of fur sprout from his sloping chest and shoulders and he bears broad shoulders. Muzzle is broadened, nose sloped and enlarged while ivories and claws and sharp and sturdy. At cycle 3, Usui nears his full height and weight and bears a small, growing mane and tufts of fur adorn his tail-tip. He will be quite a massive and broad-chested beast Cycle 4 reveals the completion of this tawny canvas. Powerful, sturdy and stately, flaps of skin hang between the nooks of his stout limbs while he bears a muscular physique with a barrel chest sloping into a streamlined, sleek hindquarters. PERSONALITY

Guardian: Usui is a creature of noble heart. His words and actions typically stem from an innate desire to protect and guide those around him. The large male has a soft side towards younger Gembounds and is keen to light up their path by guiding them towards a bright future ahead. Usui’s strong stature is soothing and reassuring as well, allowing him to instil a sense of confidence and security in those who turn to him for help or advice.

Scholar, Historian, Diplomat: This lion is an observer of things. He is a quick learner and draws life lessons from all his experiences. He enjoys understanding and figuring out how things work. Due to his inquisitive nature and never-satiable mind, Usui is very wise. As he grows up, he will discover that one of his callings lies in documenting life forms on Origin, investigating the roots of Origin and engaging in diplomacy between the packs.

Dauntless, Fighter, Warrior: Usui will grow to be a powerful physical entity. Thick, sturdy limbs, a barrel chest and rippling muscle make up this beast. He will also boast a thick, healthy mane of darker hues (reflecting his manliness). His strength is on par with his agility, making him a worthy opponent. These physical attributes fuels Usui to meet challenges head on. Being level-headed, it is most likely that he will pledge his prowess to a good cause.

Craftsman: Quite the artisan, Usui has an eye for knick-knacks, armour-crafting and trinket creations. He has been generous on more than one occassion in gifting gembounds with something he has made!

Mature, Observer, tactful: He will be quick to observe and slow to speak. Sometimes, his personality may come across as being overly neutral, or politically correct. Nonetheless, he has his slip-ups as well (and plenty of good Freudian slips) – close friends will know that he isn’t all that perfect as he portrays himself to be.

Sacarstic sense of humour: Usui can be quite scathing at times due to his high intellect. Sometimes he may feel disdain towards others whom he perceives as “trying too hard”. He is mature in his thought process, yet his humour might have been somewhat screwed up. But not to worry, he typically doesn’t mean harm.

Powerhouse: When Usui is antagonized, he'll not hesitate to use brute force. While an extremely rare occurrence, his anger can swallow his compassion and he'll go on a destructive rampage, tearing up those in his path with nary a thought for consequences.

Knight in shining armour, hard-core romantic: He will put on his graces and scholarly manners but if you manage unravel that intellect and reveal the warrior inside…you will be met with a fierce passion that cannot be tamed. Be ready for some steamy action.

CYCLE ONE:

Born into the heart of action, this lion seems destined for something great. Stumbling across Aquarian upon hatching from his chrysalis has sparked an innate interest in Usui to understand the greater scheme of things on this land. A keen learner, he has honed his skills ICly in reading, writing, swimming and crafting. Ever thirsty to learn, the lion wanders as a nomad, embarking on many solo expeditions, thus making numerous friends and enemies along the way. Not to mention being hunted down by raptor squad. Through the ups and downs, Usui has proven not only to be keen of mind but strong of body. A hot-blooded warrior aspect to complement his scholarly aspirations, Usui has triumped over both battles he has engaged in (1 2-way battle, 1 3-way battle). Usui has ascended to “master” in magical abilities and is an “earth elemental master.” As of one month old, Usui has mastered a total of 12 abilities: 1xfire, 10xearth, 1xrecover.

CYCLE TWO:

Destined to further his magic into the realm of fire, Usui has learnt 2x fire magic spells early on in cycle 2. It is highly likely that he will master a total of 5 fire magic, and then venture into a third element when he hits cycle three. For now, keeping up with both earth and fire magic is enough for this youth to juggle.
