Appearance

A replacement for the chrysalized "Cheshire," intended to be a scout and messenger for Vargas, Chaos-Eight shows both close similarities and marked improvements upon the last design. A darker color and slimmer build allow for more agile movements, and a paralysis-inducing sting at the end of the tail adds an extra layer of defense. Additional front limbs grant more gripping power and maneuverability in narrow spaces.

The creature is overall a mixture of owl and cat at first glance, only a foot and a half or so tall and black-feathered, its soft fur and feathers banded in dark purple. The small, pointed beak and soft-furred face part to reveal a strong, large, chomping jaw with beaked teeth built right in. "Paws" are thickly-feathered owl legs, zygodactyl with two toes pointing forward and two back, the better to grip perches and branches with. Cat-like ears cup owl's head, providing very good hearing, glowing owlcat eyes give excellent night vision, and the owl's wings are silent in flight. The light of the eyes can, however, give the creature away if it isn't careful.

This creatures body movements are... odd? a mix between graceful and smooth, and wobbly and jumpy. they don't have an explanation of why they walk like this, really, it just feels the most natural, hopping with disturbed grace from place to place.

Personality

Oh Boy.

Eight is many things. a nuisance, a pain, a bother, a downright menace, but what they are absolutely NOT is lazy. they work hard, and will do so until they are told to stop. They might do it with a witty remark or friendly jab, but they would never intentionally sabotage a mission. perhaps that's what is most infuriating about them, that they genuinely do their best, but are just a complete problem child.

they like to talk, thats for sure. they could do it for hours, and they crave interaction. they'll talk to anybody who'll let them, but easily becomes offended if brushed off. it might harbor some resentment, but it'll never truly become bitter and evil, just a bit petty until they feel they've gotten it out of their system. they aren't the ones being sent out to fight for a god, so why should they care? the only one they have to impress is master vargas, and thats alright with them.

they like to make up words and sounds, which means an arsenal of creative insults. they love being themselves, and that just sometimes means calling someone a good-for-nothing thbgercofo (pronounced theb-ker-cough-oh), which may or may not mean he's calling you a little bitch.
