Appearance

Similar to Azrael in size and shape, nearly 8 feet tall when full grown, although it doesn’t seem to have the immense muscular strength that its life-giver does. More slender and agile, with lankier limbs that are no less strong, just in different ways than brute force. The head of this creature has the same iconic triangular shape that appears on most of those of Vargas’s lineage. Two horn-like appendages hold three pairs of acidic green eyes and the muzzle is cat-like, with the same sickly green gleaming from inside its orifices, coloring the sinuses, the tongue, and gum of this creature.

The torso of this creature is longer than a normal humanoid, with two sets of pectoral muscles to support to pairs of arms. The top pair are similar to its demon life-giver, with long powerful claws and dexterous fingers that allow for powerful physical swipes and give it the ability to grab and hold things. The bottom set are more cat-like and essentially give this creature the ability to walk on four limbs, albeit a little awkwardly. A mane of thick, dark fur runs from the back of its head all the way down to its tail, interspersed with sharp quills tipped with the same acid-green of its eyes. Glowing crack-like markings across its chest also bear this color, as if its very core were the gleaming sickness, bursting out from its heart.

Chaos has darkened what color it would have been - dull purple fur dominates its body with darker tabby stripes decorating much of its form. Horns and spikes poke from many parts of its body like hardened blood, most prominently on its arms and on the top of its head. From its forehead juts its stone like a scythe, deep blood-colored ruby corrupted with cracks of Oil.

Personality

It’s a potent and dangerous combination that formed V-Ruby-One’s sphere of personality. Azrael’s pride and competitive nature with Ruby-Beta’s disregard for others create a creature that is wholly selfish and borderline cruel when it comes to self-satisfaction and superiority. Its touch of Chaos, from its growth next to the Black Spire, also make it unpredictable, bringing moments of anger and violence when its status is questioned, constantly lashing out when it feels even the slightest bit threatened.

The child of Azrael will constantly grow in its father’s shadow. Ever in darkness, ever outdone by its own flesh and blood. There will never be any kind of compromise between father and child - pride will clash at every turn, the need to outdo the others will forever tarnish what relationship they could have had, and the militarism of the Forge, the system of rank and emotionless care, will never give them the chance to bond in any way other then a Maker and its Creation.

And at its core, this creature is one who is deeply unstable with an immense sense of inferiority. It sees itself as only a toy or a tool, created like a test subject instead of out of any intent to create a living, breathing creature. And at times, it will act this way - carrying out the duties given to it with emotionless, even vicious, efficiency. But just as easily as it breathes, it may swing another direction - pushing back against the notion that it’s less then anyone else, however much it believes, deep inside, that it is; acting in petty, childish ways to “get back” at others for slighting it. Relationships will be hard to form, if even at all possible. It doesn’t seem to care about anyone but itself, with only the slightest acknowledgement of others of its rank (although this may, in time, change with experiences). Those who walk the path of Chaos are cursed to walk it alone.

But what does it even believe in? What is the purpose, in the end? What does it fight for, if anything but its desperate need for validation? How far will it go with Chaos nipping at its heels?
