Appearance

Avatar is by Matt <3 Profile imagine by Cecil. Thanks you guys!

Val will grow to be a big boy... A big big boy. Even after he first hatches as a foal he will tower above others of his age because of his dragon heritage. Full grown he will reach a massive 20 hands tall with rippling muscles that show beneath his short fur. Valentine has a sturdy body due to the draft in his heritage, he is able to lift and pull things easily and if he wants can wreak a lot of damage. Perhaps that is why he always tries to keep himself calm, to ward off any chance that he'll lose himself and hurt those that he loves.

Valentine's fur could be described as a fleabitten gray with nearly white accents at his tail, flanks, ears, and throat. He has darker points at his legs and face. On his face is a stark white blaze the only place of true white on his body besides his sharp canine-like fangs. His front two eye teeth poke out of his mouth at least two inches but he has a mixture of fangs and herbivorous teeth which makes him an omnivore.

Valentine's belly, throat, and underside of his tail are covered in pink and black scales which give them an odd peppered look. The scales are smooth to the touch but do well to keep that area well protected against attack. Starting at his head and all the way down to his tufted tail is a dark blue-gray mane with streaks of light blue scattered throughout the hair.

Like his father Baratheon, Valentine has three horns which are pink but with light streaks of cream cutting through. These three horns are located on his head and chin. The two on his head rise up in a shape reminiscent of a gazelle's while the one on his chin is smaller and has one gentle curve. His eyes mirror the color of his horns and are bright pink with a slightly discernible darker pupil. In the rare moments that Valentine is truly angry you can see his eyes turn a darker red like his draconian father's before him.

The most unique feature about Valentine are his wings. They are a mixture of different blacks, blues, and dark pinks that create the illusion of a night-sky with star-like specks and all. It's possible to get lost in the pattern of his wings for the flecks of light always seem to shift and reposition themselves whenever he moves them. When he eventually learns how to fly the series of moving stars will seem almost magical as he soars overhead.

Personality

One thing that is apparently obvious from the get-go is Valentine's calmness. He seems like he's done everything before and seen everything before and that nothing surprises him. Even as a child he will have the calmest pink eyes that seemed filled with some sort of humor from a joke that only he knows. What is that joke? Well, perhaps even Val doesn't know... All the equine knows is that everything seems familiar to him. Sometimes names of gembounds come to him that he hasn't formally met and sometimes a piece of scenery will become all too familiar. Perhaps this should unsettle the horse but Valentine takes it all in stride. So what if something is familiar? Perhaps he just has some sort of gift... or perhaps everyone has the gift and they have yet to realize it. In any case, he just shrugs it off just like he does with most things.

This guy is laid-back to a fault. If someone insults him he just lets it roll off his back with nothing but a shrug and maybe a smile. Life is too short to let petty insults get you especially if they're from bullies. Most of the time they're just trying to get a rise out of you so it's better to give them the reaction they don't want. The only time Valentine lets anger get a hold to him is if there is truly a dangerous situation, even then it's difficult to see when he's truly angry. With his calm, humor-filled eyes and his mouth usually curved upwards into a gentle smile, it's rare to ever see that expression leave.

In the throes of battle you might see this fellow frown or his smile wane just slightly. It is truly a terrifying sight when a gentle giant has allowed his gentleness to fade away. Like Baratheon he becomes nearly uncontrollable when the battle-rage takes him. Blood doesn't set this fellow off but anger does and if he doesn't calm himself down then he is likely to take off in a berserk rage. However, he seems to inherently know about this and always tries to be calm. When he does lose himself in his rage he isn't as lost as his father because he doesn't come from a dragon's stone and thus can usually pull himself back in before he goes too far.
