Appearance

Unremarkable and standard for her species - possibly intentional by natural selection's design - V is a plain Mojave rattlesnake. Her adult length is somewhat average (about three and a half feet), girth rather thick with a small, spade shaped head, and her patterns are not too unique; she's simple as she can be, with a dusty brown-green base and rounded patches of darker coloration. V's belly is a little lighter and covered in flat scales suited to traversing sands hot or cold.

Things grow a little more interesting when you look at the distinct markers of her species group. Her coloration gains a sharp contrast towards her tail end, drawing attention to it and the rattle. It spends more time up than not, shaking in warning at whatever may pass by. Additionally, her puffy little cheeks are packed tight with one of the most potent venoms in the world: a nasty concoction of neurotoxic and hemotoxic bites. While fatalities may be uncommon in the real human world (due to antivenom substances) a bite from V can bring about delayed symptoms of vision problems, speaking and swallowing difficulties and develop into extreme symptoms of respiratory failure (in human-sized and -adjacent animals, anyways.)

V's stone is a jagged hunk of moldavite resting in place of a scale on her throat.

Personality

For being a highly venomous danger noodle born in the midst of one of the most hostile caves known to Gembound, V is surprisingly docile. Perhaps it's the unemotive qualities of her lidless eyes or her rather taut facial anatomy, but it doesn't seem like anything impacts the snake's state of being. She is often, for lack of better wording, just vibing. Vibing as much as she can in a death trap, anyways.

As is required for survival, V's cunning and acts on well-grounded instinct rather than conscious thinking. Any consequence thrown her way is often dealt with in the first solution she thinks of. Sometimes it works great and sometimes it works poorly. Playing dead or slithering away from Eyehooks are often V's first strategies. Hissing, spitting, and biting are usually her second. V's third set of strategies are, of course, to choose her allies carefully. Creatures with limbs are often considered a great form of mobility that are worth her time. They are also, of course, usually Greaters that won't attack her for existing.

While a little brutish in her conversational and social mannerisms, V's really got everyone's best interests at heart. It sucks to get attacked and torn apart by sandworms (she'd imagine) and she wouldn't wish it on anyone.
