Appearance
Vestyge is pretty average, as Valkhounds go. A mundane kind of ugliness. That's fine. He's got what he needs - large, long armour plates protecting his spine, his vulnerable parts covered in a suprisingly soft, downy fluff. Three sets of limbs, two for transport, two for managing enemy soldiers or hostile wildlife. The first shares both of these purposes, long sickle like talons tipping a knuckle-walking arm. The second are purely for interfacing, small and surprisingly strong, equipped with opposable thumbs to boot. The last are just your standard quadrupedal hind legs - nothing special. What's special about him is on the inside (aww). His digestive system is equipped to process most things he can shove down his gullet, including spoiled meat. However, a crucial element of his diet is Oil, and that's Oil capitalised. The stuff Gembound turn into when they die. Vestyge has a specialised, proboscis-like tongue for slurping all the good stuff up. Yum. With this in mind, his claws have a third purpose. They're a scalpel, used to remove Gems from their host. His gemstone replaces his stomach, the Oilstone acting as a filter for his digestive system - this way he can consume Oil without suffering the consequences. This does not make him immune to the other corrupting influences, such as radiation and the like. Personality
His job is his personality, to sum it up. He gets his claws dirty so you don't have to, and he's very happy with this arrangement. It's simple, it's easy, and it's drama-free baby. The best thing a Gembound can be in this nest is useful, it's the closest thing to a safe, stable existence a Valkhound can get. Despite the oilstone, he's a centrist. Chaos isn't his problem, but he enjoys cleaning up afterwards. He's an opportunist, and who he's scavenging from doesn't bother him. Just so long as the oil keeps running, ay? He's quiet, the ideal worker. But he's also used to multitasking, and he does enjoy the odd company he finds. He's a little odd himself - probably the job getting to him. He forgets that not everyone considers death a friend. He can be insensitive, in that regard, but he rarely means harm. Maybe it's the laugh that puts people off. History

Still holds a grudge about it, but it's the only thing he really cares to remember. note: Oilstone location changed from tongue to stomach so he can enjoy his Oil without gaining corruption points from consuming it.
