Alternates between upsettingly huge to pathetically fragile, blindingly fast and painfully slow. Holds an immense control over its own structure, but feels as if it is constantly holding itself back - if it were a different animal, it would blaze through the caves like a wet, black whirlwind. It is its dedication to the smaller details that keeps it at a snail's pace.

Dextrous. Flexible. Climbs trees like a nightmarish big-cat. Tends to stare.

An unsettling presence to begin with, worsened by its corrupted element. Stinks of Oil and rot, leaks black goop everywhere. Keep it away from carpets.

(6/2/2025) Created with the spell Malevolent Growth. Body hosts an array of corrupted plants, taking root in its skin. These mostly come in the form of creepers, but occasionally fosters fruiting/flowering plants. The flora it supports is actively parasitic. Time away from a stable source of Corruption causes these plants to overtake the body further, growing thicker and heavier as Virosa becomes weaker.

(6/13/2026) Learned the spells Deviant Spores and Polluted Water respectively. Became host to a roster of inky fungus, less invasive than its brethren but still inconvenient. Causes frequent rashes and infections in the skin, causing mild discomfort to Virosa. It also has to contend with dehydration, as it is constantly losing water from every orifice and pore. It is now even Oilier.

(7/6/2026) Learned the spell Defiled Earth. Virosa's corruption sinks deeper into the soil, and trails close behind wherever it goes. Its once dreamless sleep is filled with constant visions of the work it must do, its mind sent down to its roots as it watches them struggle against the clean earth. As a result of its further corruption, it must stabilise 4 times every cycle (effectively weekly).

(7/15/2026) Learned the spell Profaned Creature. Its body has begun to mutate underneath its constant parasitic coating. between its left hind-leg and tail, a secondary limb has sprouted. It is a withered, oily echo of its back limb, permanently held aloft and entirely useless.

Secretly a girl. It/its until asked otherwise. She/her pronouns are a special privilege.

Constantly staining the world around it, driving roots as far as they can go. It is a matter of survival. She is working from a deficit, the caves do not want her here as much as the infection she was created to mitigate.

It would not change this. It enjoys the eternal challenge.

But it wishes sometimes that others understood the divine struggle, to live in a world that wants you gone. Always hoping for something, someone that does not blame it for living. That treats it as more than a stepping stone to a purer existence.

It wants to live, too. It wished others were less comfortable in letting it know, that they don't want to live in a world with Virosa in it.
