The offspring of a hybrid and a bipedal Thing-With-Hands, Vivilene is an odd, dappled creature that is a lot more delicate-looking than her relatives. Her matte-mauve hide helps to camouflage her throughout the caves but a star-speckled pelt and thick, silvery mane cause the hybrid to be picked fairly easily out within a crowd, much to her own chagrin.
She is a strange-looking girl, all things considered. Perhaps at a certain angle she could be mistaken for a regular cave-deer with a very long tail. Unfortunately, Vivilene looks like someone happened to mash a human torso where a deer's neck is supposed to be. She is quite thin; her legs are long but boney, but she's covered in a soft, thick pelt. She often keeps herself fairly well-kept and clean; her hide rarely has bits of dirt stuck to it.
Gentle-faced and delicate, her face is remarkably similar to her father's, almost ape-like but far more rounded. She doesn't have a prominent nose like him but one that resembles the flattened snout of a deer. Her ears are fuzzy, pointed but soft, capable of picking up small sounds from a fair distance away. At four cycles a pair of antlers will come out of her head, swept backwards. They have a silvery, starlight sheen to them and, like the rest of her, look delicate and almost intricate.
She best resembles her grandfather, Pride, in build. Tall, thin and elegant-- standing roughly five and a half feet or so --but she doesn't carry herself with the same confidence. Vivilene moves as if she carried humanity's sins on her shoulders; slowly, painfully, almost as if wracked with crippling guilt. When she speaks its more like the voice of a mouse, quiet and teetering on completely inaudible. Often, she would have to be asked to speak up to even hold a regular, one-on-one conversation with her.
A strange detail to note is the amount of heat that Vivilene radiates; her body is always damn near hot to the touch, a trait passed down from Attikas to help her withstand the cold. It doesn't stop her from complaining about being cold. Another trait passed down is the long, whisker-like tail, tipped with pale hairs. The structure is meant to offer an aid to communicate without speaking, though in Vivilene's case this is rarely used.
The gemstone embedded into her navel is a moonstone; glittery stellar white like the dappled markings on her pelt. It takes a strange shape-- a curved almost-circle that sits with the open end faced upwards. The gem hinders her from bending over properly, she has to rely on crouching to pick things up off the ground instead.

Among the other denizens of the caves, with personalities much larger than her own, Vivilene is but a drop of clean water in an ocean full of salt. Where others are loud and flamboyant, outgoing and extroverted, Vivilene prefers to quietly hide herself away from others. She self-isolates and spends upwards of weeks and cycles refusing to meet new people; she would rather spend time getting to know the ones that are already in her life.
But she isn't mean or spiteful. She's a kind soul, she goes out of her way to help people if she can. She doesn't cast people out who happen across her way; she takes them in, cares for them, thinks the best of them. She's too naive to think that anyone could bring her any harm-- she doesn't realise that this behaviour might one day come back to bite her, that one day she'll get her little heart broken over people that weren't worth her time to begin with.
Vivilene carries herself with distant melancholy-- the subtle sadness of someone who's seen enough grief for many lifetimes. She has no right acting this solemn at her age but she lives in her own mind. She obsesses over the worst case scenario and fills herself to the brim with anxieties over too small a thing, and then bottles it up and leaves it to build and boil and eventually spill. In this sense it might be clearer to see why she focuses more on the wellbeing of others rather than herself; she is convinced that some day everything will crumble around her. It's easier to distract herself with the issues of other people than to address her own.
There is another side to her, at least, but rarely seen by the passing stranger. If given enough time with family or close friends the years begin to shed off her delicate shoulders; she lets her guard down and forgets about the chattering voices in her head reminding her of everything wrong in the caves. A personality shines through that she could be-- gently playful and teasing. A quiet but clever sense of humour and wit that could be easily overlooked. She is someone who could tell long and theatrical, gripping stories with high highs and low lows.
With a laugh like tinkling silver bells, Vivilene could light up a room like the brightest star, and with inherent, deep-rooted kindness in her she is the burning heart of any friend group. This is the best side of her, the side that she should be known and remembered for, but the side that, ultimately, she is not. Her passion is fleeting, overwhelmed with distant, non-existent fears. She is too quick to put herself back down when she manages to elevate herself, too quick to think too badly of herself when she's done nothing wrong.
It's clear the only thing holding Vivilene back from being her best self is herself, but only time will tell if she'll ever learn any differently.
