Lithe and flexible, Widget is literally built for speed. He is slender, even for a whippet, but possess strong muscles that can carry him across the caverns at 35 mph. As if to match his element, he quite agile, especially for a canine, able to turn on a dime, jump over obstacles with ease, and even run along walls for a short period. While he is meant for speed, he was also designed for the hunt as well. Widget has a narrow skull with big, yellow eyes protruding from it, which gives a wider field of vision than most canids. Anything small, furry, and fast to enter his vision will spark his strong prey drive, which he has little to no control over. When full grown, he will stand about 22 inches (56 cm) at the shoulder. Needless to say, he not very big for a dog, but not small either.

His pelt his short-hair and has no undercoat, so Widget is quite vulnerable to the cold. He has a black base to his coat, with a white flare on his muzzle that travels to his brow and connects with his white chest and belly in a single, bright streak, like a lighting bolt. His all for of his paws are tipped with white as well as his tail, which blur when he breaks out to a sprint.

Just by looking at Widget, it is impossible to tell if he is male or female, since he lacks the organs or scent that determine it, simply because they are physically neither. At first glance he appears to be a female, but his voice is a little on the masculine side, however, it is still quite high pitched. It is safe to refer to Widget as male, although he wouldn't particularly care. His own lack of gender never really crosses his mind.

His stone is an odd looking, yellow zircon ebbed in his chest. Unlike the raw, gems of Origin, it appears to be cut in a triangular shape that is too perfect for to be done by any normal Gembound.

Widget will still have his speed as a puppy, but thanks to his big paws, his agility will not be quite there yet. At this time, he will be teething, making his rose ears point goofily in different directions. He will also have a mighty need to chew on his surroundings.

As an avid optimist, Wigdet is bursting at the seems with positivity. No matter how bleak the future seems, he always looks on the bright side. He seeks for other Gembounds to be happy and will make an effort to cheer up others so that no one feeling downcast, dejected, or left out. While his intentions are pure, other more negative natured Gemounds might see him to be an annoying canine to deal with.

Widget is quite hyperactive, which is no surprise, since he's a whippet. He prone to becoming bored easily and is always looking for a fun adventure. He is not the sharpest shard in the cavern, but what he lacks in processing skills, he makes up for with trustworthiness. Despite his positive outlook on life, he is quite emotional. He can't help but openly displays his feelings for all of Origin to see. Matter of fact, Widget has a hard time concealing his emotions.

Despite all that he will see, he believes in the best of Gembounds. For Widget, there is good deep down in every Gembound, and he wants to bring it out in everyone. This of course, could be his downfall. He's too trusting of others, blind to their true nature, he believes every word that comes out a their mouths. While his is gullible and easily manipulated, Widget knows the difference between good and evil and he prefers to remain moral when it comes down to choice. He is very forgiving, no matter how cruel others are to him, because to Widget, an enemy is a friend he has not made yet.

As puppy, Widget will be a more playful and innocent version of his adult self. He will learn some hard life lessons. The world is not always fun and fair.
