Appearance

Winter is a leucistic monocled cobra - she is pure white without the red eyes of albinism. Because of this, she's learned to camouflage herself by rolling in dirt and mud, but only when she needs to. She takes pride in her white coloration and prefers to keep her scales clean. There is an oval on her back which, in normal monocled cobras, would be brown, but is instead pale gray, and in the center of this oval is where her stone is located. Her stone is smooth and round and is more white then blue. She is about 1.7 m long. There are bulges in the side of her head and this is where her venom sacs are located. When she opens her hood, there is no noticeable contrast between her hood and belly scales, besides the size and shape. Everything is the same snow-white color. She is strong and quick, her muscles built to strike lightning fast and with power. Her voice is quiet and rough and she can usually barely manage to get is above what others would call a whisper. When she gets angry, she unintentionally starts hissing a little, her words slur together, and the end of her tail thrashes against the ground (which is then quickly followed by the hood and the fangs).

When Winter first hatches, she is pretty much running on pure instinct. She is quiet, nervous, and very jumpy. Anything that surprises or frightens her will trigger the flattening of her hood, hissing, and showing her teeth. However, once someone has shown to her that they aren't a threat, she will quickly get comfortable and is shown to be quite a kind snake. She has a protective instinct that is brought out quite easily by any gembound that is kind and good to her. Despite her young age, she acts almost like a mother to many that she loves.

As she gets older, she meets more gembounds that fear her, just because she is a cobra. She begins to resent herself and become more attatched to those that she already has while closing herself away from new ones that wish to enter her life. She develops an attitude and never stays in the same place for long. She is much more hesitant to pull out her fangs and would rather either talk her way out of situations, or run.

Once she is fully mature, Winter will want nothing more then a soulmate, someone that she doesn't ever have to leave, someone that she can trust with her whole life. Her trust and comfort will have run its course and it will be much harder to get past her exterior. To those that do, however, she will give her life for them, she will kill for them (even thought she hates hurting and killing). She will be their mother, their protector, their everything.
