Appearance

As a baby, this hybrid will be a featherless and ugly, disproportionate little thing, similar in appearance to a thin plucked chicken with oversized wings. Covered with an off-white scaly hide, sporting a long, lithe body, wings with tiny claws at the end, reptilian feet with talons on the end, and two little horn-things sticking out of its head, it will certainly be an...interesting creature. It will be about 3 feet in length from head to tail. However, this ugliness won't last long. After one cycle, they will almost have doubled in size and their feathers will have begun to grow in. Mostly perfect white and blue although no feathers will grow on their stomach or on their legs.

At full size, they will be a little less the size of their life giving parent, about 5 meters (~16.5 feet) in length from head to tail, and covered with thick white skin covered by white and blue feathers. There is a cover of scales going down their stomach, splitting into two at the base of their body and meeting at about mid-level of its featherless legs. Behind it spreads a lush, pristine white feathered tail. It's front limbs are covered with thick, fluffy feathers and spread out into wings which gradually turn from white to blue in three levels. The end of the wing has an obvious claw-like hand similar to the ones of their life-giver, but not nearly as nimble and strong. It's face is faintly draconic save for its beaked mouth sticking out of its feathers. A pair of tiny horns peak out behind its bright pink eyes. Their gem is a rose quartz sticking up from its forehead in a sickle-shaped horn.

Her voice is absolutely beautiful - gentle and almost song-like, usually drawn out and a little slow. When she grows excited, she sometimes gains an almost chirping-like tone and when angry, however infrequent it may be, it is almost like a growl, full of dissonance.

Personality

Wyvern is wispy, far-out, and always has her head in the clouds. She will often daydream and think of other things, forgetting where she was, what she was doing, etc. and it's very difficult to keep her attention. Instead of using sense to explain the world around her, she commonly chooses to instead believe extravagant, incredible things instead that couldn't possibly be the real answer. She has a fantastic imagination that allows her to do this but what she'll do with her imagination is yet to be seen. As a child, however, she'll use it to simply be what she is - a child.

Her behavior is similar to a toddlers - constantly asking questions, demanding help with the simplest things, and with the object permanence and memory of a baby. Once someone is gone she might forget them entirely if they didn't have a big impact on her. Even if they did she might because she is just that forgetful. She'll forget where she left her stuff if something interesting distracts her and she'll lose whoever she was with if she found something that caught her attention elsewhere. She's easily lost and confused but it doesn't really get to her - she doesn't get upset. Perhaps she will, sometime down the line, but she is so calm and so pleasant that it will be both difficult and would probably have to be intentional to get her to be angry or upset. She will always try to understand, she will always try to empathize, as its one of her greatest strengths. She always strives to understand others as they are, even if her understanding of other things is a bit more outlandish.

Wyvern's time in hibernation has changed her, at least a little bit, though the fundamentals of her personality remain the same. She is an unbearably sweet creature -- kindness is her first language, and the idea of being mean or cruel is absolutely unfathomable to her. Why would anyone want to hurt another Gembound? While she struggles to understand certain social intricacies and has trouble with understanding why something might be upsetting, she'll still try and do anything she can to make you feel better.

Her second language is formality, and the first major difference. While she might be called snooty or uppity, she really just sees a great value in being polite. Wyvern is rather quiet in most cases, but makes a lovely host. Introductions are always made with pleases and thank-yous, and she strives to be as gracious as possible whenever she can. Similarly, she views cleanliness as one of the most important aspects of being a good hostess. Her feathers are always preened and her feet always as clean as they can be. She takes care to keep her den orderly and clean, and treasure especially must be cleaned on the regular. This isn't a compulsion or obsession, though -- she just thinks it would be rude (to herself and to anyone who might visit) to not keep things looking nice.

Wyvern is also very attached to her family, especially her mother. She regards leaving home as a mistake, even if she was upset that Aismona was treating her like a hatchling. While she wasn't awake for long before going into hibernation, she still found herself missing her family deeply. She remains sheltered and needy, a creature who craves affection and has swallowed her pride. No Gembound is better alone than with family, and the world is cold enough without being around people who love you.

Ultimately though, she doesn't have much drive to do anything. Becoming more powerful in magic is a supplemental goal at best, and she certainly has no desire to fight anything except maybe the occasional prey animal (and honestly, she prefers to nourish herself with fruits). She is wholly unambitious, and her only real goals are to find her mother, amass more treasure, and maybe have chicks of her own one day. She is very easygoing and gentle, with a go-with-the-flow sort of attitude.
