Appearance

As a puppy, Yoosung is particularly cute. He embodies the 'puppy' stereotype perfectly, with ears that are a touch too big for his head and that are rather floppy. His paws are large, showing he'll grow into a healthy sized adult. His fur is fluffy, making him look almost round, and gives him a harmless appearance. He is definitely a 'rolly-polly' puppy, with a round, well fed stomach and fairly heavy frame. Often, he can be found with his long, pink tongue hanging out of his mouth, a doggy grin on his face. His fur is a rather light burnt orange, and his markings are rather hard to see. They are only a few shades lighter than the rest of his fur, giving him a sort of beard on the underside of his face and muzzle. His stomach, chest, and insides of his legs are the same color as his markings. If one looks very, very closely, they can see a bulge on the back of his neck, where his gem is growing. His tail is very tightly curled, almost flat against his back.

As he ages, Yoosung changes greatly in appearance. He goes from a tiny, chubby puppy to a regal (at least in appearance) dog with proud bearing. At his largest, he will stand nineteen inches at the shoulder. His fur becomes darker, more of a burnt orange color, and his markings stick out more, becoming a light cream in color. Despite his rather regal and proud bearing, its still not uncommon to see him with his tongue sticking out. His eyes are a rich brown and, as he ages, they begin to cross.

Personality

As a newborn Hatchling, Yoosung will act like a young pup. He's playful and excitable, wanting nothing more than to entertain himself and others. It seems he'll never run out of energy, as he can run around and play for seemingly hours. He is very friendly, preferring to try to befriend someone before becoming their enemy or angering them. However, sometimes he can anger or be mean to someone without realizing. After this happens a few times, he goes out of his way to try and be nice, perhaps to the point of becoming a push over. He loves using his Magick more than anything, to the point of exhausting himself.
Despite being fairly normal, there are times when he seems to have... fits. He becomes airbrained, mind jumping from thought to thought, with seemingly no guidance. He starts to talk oddly, voice becoming jittery, jumping tones and octaves for seemingly no reason. He might hallucinate, seeing things that aren't there or speaking to Gembounds that aren't there. He might zone out, not reacting to anything at all, even being injured. However, these fits are few and far between.
As he ages, however, the fits become more common as his gem grows into his brain. He comes to realize this isn't normal, and tries to hide it, to the point that he'll hide when he starts to feel them coming on. He settles down some, no longer as playful and excitable, to the point of being almost shy. Realizing that using his Magick seems to bring on an attack, he stops using it to the point of seeming to have no magick.
