Appearance
As a true polar bear, all of Zelk's fur is pure white. She has a black nose, black paw pads, and black claws. Her eyes are midnight black and rounded. Though her colors are simple, her physique is not so simple. Zelk as a polar bear, is large, and has strength and weight on her side for a cub. She has strong legs, and as a bear has the unique ability to stand on her hind legs. Zelk's paws are large, and her tail is short and stubby. Her ears are completely rounded. Zelk possesses a thick layer of fat under thick fur, which keeps her warm, and gives her the ability to withstand the coldest conditions. Her paws are slightly webbed, and her fur is oily and water repellent, trademarks of the polar bear.
At 4 cycles this fluffball will have completely transformed into a bear beast. She will weigh a whopping 551 pounds, and stand at an impressive 5 feet on all fours, but on her hind legs she stands at a greater height of 7.9 feet. Her weight is a ton, and her strength will be even more phenomenal. Her paws will be enormously large, equipped with sharp claws the length of 3.5 inches. Her teeth will have grown large and in full, with incisors meant to shear off blubber and flesh. Her layer of fat which will be 3.4 inches thick, which is hidden under thick fur, will make it very hard for enemies to wound her. This will also make freezing conditions not a problem in the slightest. Zelk will be a true large lumbering polar bear. Personality
Zelk likes to rough and tumble with other gembounds. Perhaps it is because she is a bear that it comes so naturally to her. Though at 4 cycles she will grow out of this, and will know her own strength. It wouldn't be wise to threaten her. At 4 cycles she will not be afraid to fight for herself, or another gembound. Her aggressive nature can bleed into pure violence if one dares to go to the extent of threatening and fighting.
She may have earth magic, but as a semiaquatic mammal Zelk is also tied to water. Zelk will spend long periods periods of time in the water when she chooses, and loves the water, seeing it as a magical second world. Amazingly, Zelk can stay underwater for a full two minutes, and can see very well underwater. As a cub, she is an expert swimmer, and will even be more so as an adult. Zelk can swim at incredible distances, as can all polar bears, for the species are strong swimmers. Zelk has an enormous appetite and as long as it's meat, she'll eat anything, unless it is another gembound. Food is one of her priorities, and she can stuff herself with plenty of food. Of course, as she grows, her appetite will get larger and larger, especially when grows into adulthood. Zelk considers herself as brave, and will put up a very good brave front. This may also lead to her being prideful, due to the fact she is a polar bear. Though when confronted with a certain situation, she can get scared. Though at 4 cycles, she will be completely fearless, and able to confront most things. Zelk is very adventurous, and will explore the caves to find out its secrets and lore. She is very inquisitive, and this can sometimes lead to her being mischievous. Though at 4 cycles she will have completely grown out of this, but will still love to explore and acquire knowledge of her home. Zelk is a mage who is fascinated with her earth magic and loves to practice it. As an adult, she will use it as she pleases, but will be wiser with it. Zelk isn't lazy, but she likes to relax a lot. This will increase as she gets older. Zelk loves to meet other gembounds, and is quite the social cub. This will only decrease a little when she reaches 4 cycles. As a grown adult Zelk will be a well versed, and intelligent bear. She won't tolerate those who try to step to her, and do trust that she won't take being threatened or attacked lying down. She will love to retreat to water, her second world to relax or wind down. She will be on the look out for food and can usually be found eating. She will take pride in the fact she is a polar bear, thus will act on her own will, and will not be swayed by others. Though she does have a strong belief to defend the good of the caves. History
