Appearance

Birthed with bright blue eyes and a skull made of bloodstone. The part of her beak connected to the stone is also made of this gem, which led to her name. As a juvenile, her feather are very ugly and underdeveloped, primarily black and barely capable of keeping her in the air for long. In fact, she's as full of flight as a chicken, in this stage. She can jump high and glide to some extent, but she cannot actually fly.

As she gets older, her feathers develop and her colors change. After a full molt that will make her go through a half-naked phase, her head will be crowned by pale feathers that fade off into a deep black, which cape her from the breast down, including wings, back, and tail. Her wingspan will stretch to a whopping 9ft 5in with her body length being 3ft. Her matured weight tips in at about 29lbs of muscle and feather. Her feathers are always preened to perfection, making them glisten in even the darkest caverns.

Currently, Giga has no scars. Her only physical ailment is slight blindness, which she is able to play off rather well. Her mental health may not always be in the best shape, but her personality is resilient despite any lows.

With time and age will come the slight dull of some feathers, the paleness of her face, and the blindness in her eyes. It also brings wisdom and solidarity with a larger population.

Host is a spell now known by her body. With every use, the plants last a little longer. Roots and pieces of stems grow and die in her flesh. As time goes on, these plants will eventually learn to thrive upon her body, poking out between feathers and coiling limbs. Along with the plants, fungi will flourish upon her, a skin crawling with minerals and bacteria to help such life thrive.

Neonothopanus gardneri and mycena chlorophos mushrooms are clustered and growing on the right side of her back. A small patch of toadstools come and go on the left side of her back. Down the middle of her back, between the fungi, bits of sage peak from her feathers. Bits of lichen frost the alula, marginal covert, and scapular areas of her wings. A singular dandelion plant remains nestled upon her breast, with the potential to spread and root multiple times.

In her youth, Gigatsuhali was a very curious bird, exploring and encountering all that she could. A social butterfly of sorts, who never has minded the ever-so-common alone times. No matter how good or evil the individual was or perceived as, she would reach out to them, even if all it ever was was a single, simple conversation. Everyone she's ever met gets locked away into her brilliant memory.

This is a bird you could easily say is wholehearted. She sacrifices herself in many ways, simply because she feels she exists to help others. In some ways, she can be very vain and borderline arrogant, but overall manages to maintain a bit of grace. Friendly beyond reason, expressing instant trust with all she meets, greeting them like old friends.
