Surgis takes naturally to semi-aquatic life, with sealable nostrils and internal ears helping her stay underwater comfortably for four minutes, extending up to fifteen when necessary. With this, her diet mostly consists of fish and smaller prey. She does fine with eating bones and hardy substances but does not function well with high sugar foods, often leaving her lethargic until she passes the sugar out of her system.

She's light with a lean body, most of her weight coming from her fur and any water retained. She isn't a fighter, better at quick bursts than she is at endurance; her long strides are best for quick sprints and ambushes. Sitting up on her haunches lets her hit six and a half feet, while standing on all fours sets her at about shoulder-height of the average human.

Note for childhood: Surgis's fur is shorter and her proportions not fully leveled out, leaving her looking like a twiggy teenager before she's an adult.

To have a captive audience, she needs a compelling story. She'll gladly listen to first-hand accounts and warp them into a grand plot, weave verses and words into things that'll have people begging for more. She's unafraid to strip the names out from her songs, unless they're of her own adventures, of course.

If anything would be her downfall, it would be her arrogance, any action she takes self-justified in her search for infamy. She doesn't care what role she plays as long as she ends up in someone's thoughts, someone notoriously known for whatever deed she's done or story she's crafted.
