Appearance
 Worm's gemstone sits centered on his forehead. Starting just above the eyes and ending long before it reaches the ears. The gemstone is a bright and colourful opal, that usually has a misty-whiteness about it; but after being submerged in water becomes crystalline clear, allowing the full spectrum of colours to be seen and even reflected onto the surrounding skin. As far as gembound go, Worm is extraordinarily ordinary. He is the same size as an average housecat -- or a house kitten, when he first emerges. His skin lacks any markings, sunspots or fur, the most exciting part about his appearance is the dirt brown stain over his nose; it looks like muck or leftover food but has been there since he emerged. Beyond his gemstone and an alarming lack of fur, he's not something anyone would even look twice at. He at least seems in good shape, always ready to flee at a moments notice, he's lean and not bad at running. Yet, there's a deep seated tiredness about him. Whilst he always seems to be buzzing with a nervous and frantic energy, only a slightly closer look reveals that he seems bone-dead exhausted. Even as a youngster, there's a slackness to the skin under his eyes, a vague discolouration. When he blinks the nictitating membrane doesn't always pull back into place, and there's a certain droopiness to his posture; that says if he wasn't always wound up so tightly, he'd just collapse. Personality
Worm is both literally and metaphorically, a scaredy cat. Every sound, every movement, is enough to make him jump out of his skin. He's constantly looking for exits, places to hide, ways to get out and away. It's easy to feel on edge just by looking at him, he always looks exhausted and skittish, like there's an impending danger we cannot see. Truthfully, he's simply paranoid. Frightened of everything, of the damage it could potentially do, regardless if it actually wishes to do harm. Everything is seen as a threat, even close friends, for the harm they could do to him; even accidentally. Though he will sit and converse, from a safe distance. Any raised voices will send him skittering to one of the escape paths he'd already planned. It's a never ending vicious cycle, the fear keeps him awake, then the lack of sleep spirals the fear further out of control. But, there is a person beneath the timidness. One that has an eye for beauty. Keen eyes and steady paws. A patience that knows that good things take time. An appreciation for craftsmanship, and a joy for play, for creating. Even Worm's own element works against him, like most of his otherworldly counterparts, he dislikes being wet. Yet, even this, he takes in his very shaky stride.  History
