To Slay a Serpent - Septiezal - Mar 17 2018 ***(WARNING: Contains gore)
The serpent slid silently through the marsh, tongue flickering as he smelled his way through the Heart. Since joining Dragon, his mind had been reeling with questions to as Aquarian. Hated to admit it, but it was helpful banding together with other Gembounds. However, Septiezal preferred distance, he was not accustom to mingling with others yet. He liked to break away and be alone with his own thoughts as before. RE: To Slay a Serpent - Nameless - Mar 17 2018 Code:
Blackberry crept through the misty swamp, the slick, wet mud making her wish for the first time that she had her webbed feet back. But it was a small price to pay for the huge talons she had developed instead. Easier to tear and maime and kill. She was constantly on the alert, constantly smelling and listening and looking through the mist. However, her eyes, burned from Kera's light, had no healed all the way and her vision was slightly blurry. So it was up to her other senses, and Blueberry, to find their next target. And, suddenly, she heard something. It was soft, but it was recognizable. A slithering, a sliding through the grass. A snake. Perhaps it was the white snake. She hoped that it was: she had an appointment with that fool who had dared to wound her. She stopped moving and flung out a wing to do the same. Just through the mist, she saw it. A snake, a big one, not white but brown. She had almost missed it among the trees and mud. But there it was. "Do you see our prey," she whispered to Blueberry. "There, through the trees. A long creature with scales. A snake. We shall attack it, kill it, but do not let it bite. I fought a snake once and you found me in its aftermath." She remembered the toxin that had run its course. The helplessness, the pain. She dug her talons into the dirt, furious that any snake would dare. If she could not find the white snake, this one would have to do. She nodded to Blueberry and opened her wings. They were not made for flying, but this would be enough. She leaped silently into the sky and gave a few quiet flaps before coming down with her talons, aiming straight for the back of the snake's neck. Round: 1 Attempt: silent pounce to the back of his neck Defense: none Injuries: none ___________________________________________________________ "Heroes always get remembered." But you know legends never die. tags: @Blueberry notes: here RE: To Slay a Serpent - Blueberry - Mar 17 2018 Blue smiled. Those trees overhead would make a perfect trap. No, Blueberry would hit Miss Blackberry with them. Instead, the moose looked at the ground beneath the snake. Yes, roots. He would trap the snake with the roots. Focusing on the roots, the moose tried to coax them into trapping the snake in place. But he also told them that they cannot hurt Blackberry, or trap her. He would be sad if they did. That was an understatement. He'd be infuriated. Yes, he would destroy the trees if they hurt his love. Chuckling lightly, Blueberry moved trough the swamps towards the snake, still focusing on the roots, asking them and coaxing them to do his bidding. Round: 1 Attack: Trap that snake! We’re all mad here. tags: @Septiezal notes: here RE: To Slay a Serpent - Septiezal - Mar 17 2018
Septiezal periscoped higher, tasting the scent in the air. The scent first that caught his tongue was unmistakably cervine, only muskier and earthly. He tucked his head back, flicking his tongue once more, there was another. It was vaguely avian, but smelled... wrong. It made his stomach tie in knots. Round: 1 Attempt: Constrict hell-goose! Defense: coiling Injuries: talons in neck RE: To Slay a Serpent - Nameless - Mar 17 2018 Blackberry felt the familiar surge as her claws dug into the snake's neck. Her weeks in hell had robbed her of this joy, this pleasure. Of making others hurt, of spilling blood. And now, of killing. She was gripped with the hunger of seeing this creature torn apart. Not just killed, but mercilessly ripped to shreds. Besides the blue bird, this was her first fight since she had emerged. It was time to pay back Kera for what she had done to her. Of course, she did not care that the snake was, in fact, not Kera at all. It didn't matter. They would be punished nonetheless. The snake wrapped its coils around her body and a twinge of fear went through her. It was strong, stronger then she expected. But she wasn't exactly a bug. With her claws still embedded in his skin, she lashed forward with her beak to try and close her sharp fangs down on his midsection. Round 2 Attempt: bite down on his coils, hard Defense: none Injuries: besides being squeezed, none ___________________________________________________________ "Heroes always get remembered." But you know legends never die. tags: @Blueberry notes: RE: To Slay a Serpent - Blueberry - Mar 17 2018 Berry failed at trapping the snake, but that didn't matter. WHat mattered was that the snake had a grip on Blackberry, and he was going to hurt her. That angered him. Nobody hurt his Blackberry. Nobody caused her more pain than she had suffered. "Let go of her, or I will personally pry every scale off your slimy body one by one, and then feed you to the fishes." Berry threatened, his voice husky and deep and he moved more quickly towards the snake. He reached the duo and prepared to step on the snake's neck, trying to break him. Round: 2 Attack: Crush body, neck, make him HURT Defense: None Injuries: None ___________________________________________________________ "Can’t you tell?" We’re all mad here. tags: @Septiezal @Blackberry notes: here RE: To Slay a Serpent - Septiezal - Mar 17 2018
Round: 2 Attack: Have some hot bile Blueberry (well.. I guess its just stinky now) Defense: regurgitated stinky, mostly digested carcass Injuries: Talon's in neck, bite on midsection, few broken bones. RE: To Slay a Serpent - Nameless - Mar 17 2018 The blood flowing into Blackberry's mouth sent her into something much like the frenzies she had once had before she had been killed. She wanted more, more blood, more pain. She wanted to hear the snake scream. But first, she had to get out of his grip. He was squeezing tight, even with her claws in his neck and her teeth in his body. She left go with her teeth and tried to think of a way to get him to let go. Then she remembered the one weapon of hers that she hadn't tried just yet. The claws on her stomach. She could move them. She started to strain the claws against the serpent's coils. It felt strange to be using this new part of her body, but she still put all her effort, all her muscle into it. Round 3 Attempt: Push him away with the claws on her stomach Defense: none Injuries: besides being squeezed, none ___________________________________________________________ "Heroes always get remembered." But you know legends never die. tags: @Blueberry notes: RE: To Slay a Serpent - Blueberry - Mar 17 2018 The snake did not let go. In fact, it puked on him. A vile, nasty, foul smelling bile. Berry was angered. The snake puked all over him, and he still had Miss Blackberry in his hold. "Let her go, before I make you wish you never let your nasty little worm body slither around these caves." Blue spat, pushing down harder on the snake. He would learn and let go, or he would die. That much was simple. The moose focused on his gem once more, on his magick, and tried to contain the snake once more. He needed to stop him from moving. He needed to make it so the snake was trapped. But instead, he lost focus. The smell of that nasty bile distracted him, and he just forgot about the spell. Freaking snake. Round: 3 Attack: Trap Sept with roots Defense: None Injuries: None ___________________________________________________________ "Can’t you tell?" We’re all mad here. tags: @Septiezal notes: here RE: To Slay a Serpent - Septiezal - Mar 18 2018
The serpent scowled at the imposing moose. He was clearly not in his right mind. Septiezal did not know if he was frightened or angered by this. Perhaps it was a bit of both. (y'all don't have to roll to catch him) Round: 3 Attempt: free self from the crazy murder-duo Defense: none Injuries: neck wound, bite on midsection, few broken bones, partially paralyzed, quills in his skin. |
