Group Idea: Guardians - Black - May 19 2018
No I don't have a fancy name for it yet and no I don't want to lead it BUT I was thinking that with all the high activity and rising potential groups numbers, especially with the bullying Bloodberries (and let's be fair, Khloros) active, there's an obvious possibility that could be fun: a guard/police group. We have a huge social network in the caves but violence, plague, theft etc runs rampant. RAMPANT! Usually in situations like these, a group of vigilantes will emerge, name themselves an authority, and try to enforce order.
Everything is up in the air and this is ONLY a concept, that others can join in with and communally decide on. But for now the idea is:
In-Character Goals: To protect the gembounds & life of Origin Cave and preserve our peace and health.
Activity: 1. Patrol the caves, heroically white knighting and rescuing people from attackers. 2. Fight off golems or hostile NPCs as a courageous "army." 3. Tentative: provide mending for the sick and injured.
Additional Possibility: Despite the obvious "these are heroes/guards" theme, there's always the fun additional layer of, "and now they're declaring themselves The Authority and abusing it." They could have members that are bullies, hiding behind the group name (think Bad Cops), throwing their weight and connections around. They could also have overly-idealistic members trying to "rescue" "victims" from situations that... don't actually require it.
I have a couple of characters I could potentially toss in, Black and Oliver, though Black isn't... a militaristic type so much as a blunt self-appointed protector. Oliver is a mender, or will hopefully be, in time.
Namestorming: guards, guardians, vanguards, watchers, army, soldiers etc
Other Plot Possibilities could include a criminal/theft group getting underway, or flat-out war with Bloodberries, etc.

rohan is a super granpda monk and doesnt like to "choose sides" or tell people they should be one way or another, but he definitely has a moral bias and leads a more paragon-monk lifestyle. he would definitely be down to counsel and aid, heal, etc. but he isn't violent, so he wouldnt fight

prata already does this kind of stuff LOL, he's a neutral good character with super strong morals but is rather personally inexperienced dealing with conflict. i was thinking of having him join BSS (at least until he realizes what a Bad Idea that is for such a strongly good-aligned character) but leading up to, after, perhaps even during? his stay in BSS, he's kind of a rash cat who has heard all of rohan and leon's stories and thinks maybe he could work to prevent things like they experienced from happening again.
... however, he's just one cat, and he's easily overtaken by emotions, doesn't always think situations through. definitely prone to jump into a perceived threat and be overly defensive when there isn't a real issue. he believes extremely strongly in punishing those who harm others by doing the exact same thing to them, although he's not a Krraaaazy Murderer who would actually hunt down others to do that if he wasn't 100% sure it was what needed to be done to prevent further harm & abuse. especially if his father is in on it, though, prata would definitely go straight to this cause.
i'm not sure how being in multiple groups works? but since BSS is supposed to be a secret prata would certainly try to stay in both of them. there's no way he'd pass up trying to get into the Vigilante Team the way his character is right now.

Well, officially-speaking I think you can only be in one group? I'm not 100% on that but there's only one you can display as your group etc. You can always hang out with both and work with both and ICly claim to be in both, I'd imagine, but there might be the issue of minimum group membership requirements, like... If a group needs a minimum of four and you're in the other one officially, or w/e.

(xpost from discord) no for OOC requirements your primary is only one group but ICly your character can try to juggle more than one affiliation if they may be able; but their loyalties are likely to be requested to a single group and that is how we count them too -- OOCly we cannot make the rules characters may make for themselves ICly (if they do not mind freedoms between groups, etc.) but in terms of group requirements, only the primary group is considered
