painter's palette - Deli - Nov 01 2019 Deli The pup was nosing around, sniffing at the damp earth as if looking for something. Every so often, they stopped to dig, but it seemed that they weren't finding what they were looking for. Still, as they turned away, a large grin was still stretched across their face. It at least seemed genuine enough. They picked another spot and began to dig, dig dig dig until they got bored and moved away. They weren't finding anything fun! The other caves were a lot more fun then this, this was all damp and weird and they didn't like it, but they were bored! And the big, glowy cave they were in didn't have anything either so... They continued to search, sniffing at the walls, at the ground, until they stuck their nose right in the right spot and the grin transformed into a smile, bared-teeth and everything. A twitching, weat nose speared into the crevice and they carefully pulled out a few bright green feathers. With a happy cry, they set them down at their feet, crouching in front of them as if they'd play, batting at them with a laugh and watching as they fluttered up at but a friendly tap. Feathers were funny! They continued to amuse themselves like this for a little while, playing with the feathers they'd found as if nothing in the world was more exciting. @Indelia RE: painter's palette - Indelia - Nov 26 2019 Indelia didn't know where to go or what to do. She hadn't talked to anyone in a while and it was all so rather boring. She wanted to meet someone, talk to them! She walked into one of the tunnels and it wasn't long before she saw someone else. Finally, maybe now she wouldn't be so bored. @Deli RE: painter's palette - Deli - Nov 26 2019 Deli The pup almost leaped right out of their skin when a voice called out to them, flinching and scrabbling around on the ground to face the...cat! The green feathers fluttered to the ground and Deli's eyes opened wide at the sight of this new very very interesting person! They'd never seen a cat before! All they'd seen were dogs and a deer and a whole bunch of walking bones! Nose twitching curiously, they bounded forward, thrusting their muzzle forward to smell this new cat that was very obviously going to be a new and very great friend! "Hi," they barked a little loudly in her ear. "Who are you?" They didn't wait for an answer before a grin split their face and they jumped back, jumping around in excited circles. New person! New friend! "Do you like feathers," they asked cheerfully, turning back to the green feathers they'd found. "Wanna play with some feathers? It's fun!" @Indelia RE: painter's palette - Indelia - Nov 26 2019 Indelia had not expected them to get right into her face, sniffing excitedly. She jumped back a little, fur bristling and eyes narrowing, before realizing they meant no harm. Fur still a little ruffled, she watched them for a little as they asked her a question then proceeded to not even wait for an answer. @Deli RE: painter's palette - Deli - Nov 26 2019 Deli
Deli nosed one of the feathers towards Indelia before turning back to their own. "Try it! It's fun! Get it into the air like this," they nosed one of the feathers until they could toss it up, "And then...see? It floats down slowly! Try and keep it off the ground!" They barked happily and began poking the feather back up as it floated down, bouncing on his feet, barely paying much attention to the cat for the time being. But they were. They watched her from the corner of their eye. They played with the feather, but they watched how she reacted to them, and to the feather they'd set in front of her. They paid attention, but they didn't make it obvious. "Yeah, feathers are pretty! And fun! I could probably make something with them! I'm Delirious by the way but you can call me Deli!" @Indelia RE: painter's palette - Indelia - Nov 26 2019 Indelia was a little skeptical as she watched the dog play with the feather. She looked down at the one set in front of her and flicked an ear. Well, it's not like she had anything better to do. And a quick glance revealed they were the only ones around. @Deli RE: painter's palette - Deli - Nov 26 2019 Deli
Deli's smile grew wider, fangs beginning to glint from their muzzle. "Yeah, yeah! Fun! Hey, we should do something that's even more fun! Watch!" As the green feather came fluttering down, Deli sat down and reached up with both paws, catching it and crushing the green thing between their claws, grinding it into their pads, a few fibers fluttering down to the ground. After a few moments or rubbing the feather, they opened their paws to reveal a thick green paste, the same color the feather had been moments before. "See? And now you can do stuff with it!" They turned towards the wall and reached up, drawing a line down the rock that stuck out quite vividly against the brownish-grey. There was really only enough paint on their paws to draw a few more lines before it ran out but they turned around, panting happily. "I want to make all kinds of fun art! Look how pretty!" @Indelia RE: painter's palette - Indelia - Nov 26 2019 Indelia frowned as Deli ground the feathers between their paws, crushing it. What had happened to playing with and admiring the pretty feather? As the green paste was revealed, however, her eyes widened slightly. How had they done that? She stared down at the other feather, now down at her paws after she stopped playing with it to watch Deli. @Deli RE: painter's palette - Deli - Nov 26 2019 Deli
Deli watched the cat's reaction, curiously, which changed into joy when she had a positive reaction to his art. Oh, this was very nice! "Yeah! Help me find more! I want more colors to play with!" They bounced and took off, plunging their muzzle into the nearest crevice, as if expecting to find more feathers or something. Nothing there. The next one? Nothing. They whined a little when they came up with no new colors to play with and instead settled on taking Indelia's feather and crushing it. Maybe she'd go off and find something for them instead. The past was just as thick as before and they carefully wiped it off their paws onto a small space on the ground. They opened their muzzle and allowed a bit of drool to drop into the puddle before mixing it up good to make it a little more watery. It did a little bit to thin the paste, enough for them, at least. @Indelia RE: painter's palette - Indelia - Nov 26 2019 Find more? Indelia looked around. Well, hopefully there were some around here somewhere. She watched Deli for a bit as they looked around, though it seemed they were unsuccessful as they gave up and took her feather, crushing it into the paste. @Deli |
