How to Flop: A Guide by Carja - Carja - Jun 02 2020
The egg wasn't bit, not at all. It was half a foot tall and half a foot wide, and spherical in shape, colored purple with cracks crisscrossing the surface, suggesting the being inside had been trying to break free for a while. A fluid was starting to leak out the sides from the larger, displaced sections of shell, colored a pale blue, and opaque.
From within, the baby started to wiggle, harder and harder until-
Crack!
A leg popped out and wiggled feebly, tiny claws gripping and tugging at the edges of chrysalis shell around it, breaking off more and more until the small being was able to slide out onto the hard stone floor. The baby coughed and wheezed softly, getting all the fluid out of her lungs, before lifting up a shaky head and bellowing as loud as her little lungs could.

He crawled through polaris, smiling as he twisted around the area, grabbing rocks and shiny things along the way.
on his way, he had spotted the tiny egg, gasping slightly as he moved forward, been a while since he's seen one of those before! he examined it, and as it began to shake, he yipped, hopping backward.
he closely padded forward, again, pausing, shooting up as the creature began cracking out of it. he watched the tiny thing claw its way out, and, to his amusement....
it screamed. how fun! he should scream too! becaus everyone knows the best first impression, is how loud you can yell!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" he screamed in unison, smiling.

Delighted by a reply, the hatchling immediately screeched back, head bobbing up and down as her eyes slowly opened... all six of them. They zeroed in on Sheng and she cocked her head, blinking as she inspected the other.
The baby hopped forward, her short, stubby wings much too small to fly with, though they provided an extra pair of arms as she stood up on her hind legs, bracing herself on the joint of her wing, sniffing at Sheng curiously.

He laughed, screeching back. he inspected carja for a moment, letting them curiously inspect him. he honked in surprise as he was promptly bonked on the snout, squeaking. he giggled more, playfully (but gently) batting at the creature too, lightly shoving her over. "arent ya a feisty lil one?" he chuckle-hissed

Carja was definitely surprised as she got bowled over, squeaking as she flopped onto the ground, wiggling on her back as she struggled to right herself. She stood and shook herself off, sneezing softl before turning back to Shen and cooing softly. A paw raised and papped Shen on the nose, before she promptly hopped away, expecting a counter-attack of some kind.
The baby quickly lost interest as she saw her egg, and flopped towards it, none of her limbs wishing to obey her correctly as she veered to either side, but managed to wobble towards it, her stubby legs raising as she propped herself up on it, sniffing it curiously. Owo what's this?

He snorted, still smiling as he was bapped again, letting her hop back and then promptly wander off to inspect her own egg. he followed, but stayed far enough she wouldnt feel threatened. the egg was so small! he wonders if his was that small

Carja pulled away as the egg collapsed in on itself, blinking stupidly before glancing back at Shenxiao, wondering if that was supposed to happen. Oh well.
The baby made her way back to the other, before clumsily veering off to explore the rest of the cave, chirping and cooing happily, tail flicking back and forth as she stumbled around, inspecting everything that she could. There was so much to sniff! That rock smelled funny, she wondered if it tasted funny, too.
She chomped on it, gnawing at it before spitting it out, the thing having ground on her baby teeth painfully. Ouch!

He followed happily, looking around aswell, the cave sure was pretty!
he watched her attempt to eat the rock, and spit it out, thinking for a moment. there had to be something around here edible, right? he looked around...
he spotted some kind of fruit or.. plant.. or something, not far off from their location, he waddled away, picking it and hopping back over, offering it to the small creature. "eat up, little one! ya' want ta grow big n strong, dontcha?" he hissed

Carja cooed and flopped forward, her massive maw opening wider than her head to snatch up the food and gobble it down in a few bites. She shook her head and crowed at Sheng, before grabbing his tail in her jaws and tugging on it, flopping onto her side as she batted at it with her paws, growling and cooing playfully as she rolled all around, often falling all over herself.
After a while, she stood up, bored again, and sniffed around curiously, tail waving back and forth behind her as her oversized paws flopped with every step.

He smiled, watching the weird lil thing eat for a moment, paying no mind to how weird she actually did look, letting out a deep laugh as she began messing with his tail, wagging it around a little bit to entertain her more. were hatchlings always this playful?
he watched her flop around for a while, looking around aswell. he looked at the rocks and such coating the floors and walls. he wondered, silently, if a thing like her could appreciate collectibles, or if she'd just try and eat them.
