Bringing Home Baby. - Aristotle - Aug 08 2020 Ari
It had taken longer than normal to reach the exit of the tunnel to Orion. However it was still as quiet and beautiful as he had left it. The ceiling glittered beautifully with its many crystals dotting its surface. The ruins not much farther, in fact they could be seen from their place at the exit of tunnel I. The well worn path leading from the tunnel to Orion’s many crossing and winding streets of the ruins. The path was an easy one as most things on this path had been removed however some of the ruins had the appearance of being melted by the heat of blazing fire. The fire of a dragon had done this, or so he had heard. However the house they walked to was one that was in near perfect condition on the outside. It was the only house in Orion to be covered in flowering vines and surrounded by lush grasses. He had spent many a day working to make his house beautiful. As they entered the house it was just as green and vibrantly alive as the outside. In the center of the main room grew two trees twisting and growing together, one an apple tree the other a peach tree. Both trees heavily laden with the respective fruits. The center of the upper floor had collapsed creating a large hole through which the trees grew reaching the tall ceiling of the house. The stairs leading to the second floor were lined with yellow and white lilies. The tree’s had many glowing stones dangling from vines hanging from their branches creating the soft light that filled the main room. Aristotle led the way to an offshoot room, the bedroom where the family slept. In here there was a large section of the floor being taken up by a pile of pelts big enough for a full grown lion and a full grown horse to sleep on. In the center of the room stood a huge two foot tall egg shaped blue topaz gemstone. Aristotle walked over to it and smiled. Turning to Comet and Sun Aristotle sighed. The lion picked out three of the gems. One shaped like a four pointed star that was a earthy brown with vibrant verdigris Inclusions on it, a deep green fan shaped gemstone, and a large shard of a peach colored gemstones. Then he swiped the other five gems back into the bag. Then he hid the other three gems next to Abraxas. Turning the lion gently gave the two children more affection before he turned to leave. TEMPORARILY EXIT ARISTOTLE TO CANIS @Comet RE: Bringing Home Baby. - Sun-Wukong - Aug 08 2020
Sun clung easily to fluffy daddy as they moved from the dimness of the tunnel out into the openness of Orion and its glitter ceiling. Every now and again since they had rested Sun leaned over to watch Comet as she moved. Always sure to alert fluffy daddy if she stumbled so he could wait for her to regain her step. He was already becoming quite the overprotective big brother. It didn’t take them long to reach home and Sun was grateful that they had. He wanted to get down and get to know his new little sister better. As they entered the house Sun was already sliding down and off of fluffy as he monkeyed around the floor for a moment before following fluffy daddy to the bedroom. The little monkey hobbled over to the stone that was bigger than he was and placed a gentle hand on it hooting softly at the stone. It was clear that at least these two members of the family had an affinity for the gemstone. Sun cooed and hooted as fluffy daddy introduced Comet to Abraxas. They would be sisters when she hatched. Finishing his little conversation with Abraxas Sun monkeyed back over to sit beside Comet on the floor where fluffy daddy nuzzled and licked him. He let out a squeal and a giggle as he hugged fluffy daddy’s face. Sun looked at fluffy daddy as he explained he would be leaving them alone for a little while so he could go do something and he couldn’t take them. Then he emptied the bag of gems he had brought home the other day picking out a few which lay next Abraxas and the rest he scooped back into his rabbit skin bag. He loved on them once more before leaving the house and the children alone. Sun scooted closer to Comet as he gently wrapped one arm around her assuring her that he was there and that he wouldn’t let anything happen to her. @Comet RE: Bringing Home Baby. - Comet - Aug 08 2020 Comet
Comet had never seen such a big cavern before. The place looked like the night sky, although she wasn't sure what a night sky looked like, something told her that that is what this place looked like. It was a completely different feel from Eridanus, where she hatched. It was not covered in plants, or had any plants at all. It was barren with only a few scattered ruins here and there. The gems also littered the area. But there it was, the only abundance of plants anywhere in this place. She immediately knew it was their home, as Aristotle really liked plants. Inside, she gathered in everything. There was much potential for exploring in this house, with all the plants and trees to poke her nose into. Comet followed them into the bedroom which had many comfortable looking pelts. She listened to the lion explain about the huge blue gem in the middle of the room. She watched Aristotle take out three gems, and put away the other five. The lion ran his tongue over her head, and she returned a lick on his nose. Then he left on some dangerous errand. Comet felt her heart sink a bit, she was very worried for him and hoped he wouldn't get hurt. She felt a warm arm slip around around her and Sun told her that he would keep her safe. He gave her a kiss and she licked him on the face. @Aristotle @Sun-Wukong RE: Bringing Home Baby. - Sun-Wukong - Aug 08 2020 Sun watched as fluffy daddy left them alone. He had watched him leave a week before to go to the same place he was now. He had come back alright, so this time he saw no reason for it to be any different. He would stay here and wait as he had been told until both daddy’s returned. He knew they would always come back. Sun trusted them to the very end that they wouldn’t leave him alone. Sun smiled brightly as Comet gave him a lick. He pulled her a bit tighter to him and gently ran his hand down her shoulder petting her. Sun hooted happily and aimed to leap onto Comet, he was aiming to jump on her then spring off and onto the floor behind her. The little gibbon managed the maneuver but instead landing on his feet so he could turn to meet the wolf cub head on he fell landing on his butt and lower back. The little gibbon let out a rowdy laugh and slapped the ground rolling to one side and up onto all fours. He bounced a bit and hooted happily. He gently tapped Comet on the shoulder and darted away as fast a monkey hobble could go, hooting happily he turned his head to see if Comet was giving chase. @Comet RE: Bringing Home Baby. - Comet - Aug 08 2020 Comet
Comet noticed that Sun did not look too worried about Aristotle leaving, so she pushed all the worries out of her mind too. Although she had only recently met the lion, she knew that he would never leave them alone for long. She listened to Sun, whose speech seemed to be improving, he did not have any breaks in his sentence. She thumped her tail on the ground. Comet felt the gibbon jump on her then land onto the floor behind her, but not on his feet. Sun laughed and she howled back at his silliness. Then he tapped her on her shoulder and dashed off. The chase was on. Comet ran full speed after Sun. He was not as fast or agile on the ground as she was, as he was better suited for the trees. The wolf pup quickly caught up to him and decided to attempt a tackle. But just as she jumped, her front paw got caught on a rock and her momentum carried her up into a front flip over the monkey and she landed in a bush. Luckily the bush was very soft, and Comet poked her head out to show she was okay. The bush held many gleaming berries, so she picked one in her mouth and threw it at Sun. @Sun-Wukong RE: Bringing Home Baby. - Sun-Wukong - Aug 10 2020 Sun heard Comet’s tail thump on the ground, and he looked back at her hind end curiously. He of course didn’t have a tail, but everyone else in his family did. During his landing on his rump and back, the little gibbon couldn’t help but laugh at his mishap. His butt was sore but other than that he was unhurt. As he ran Sun hooted happily as he monkeyed around the room as fast as he could. Sun turned to look at Comet just as she tripped. Cooing softly the little gibbon monkeyed back over to his sister to check on her. As Comet tossed the berry at him, it smacked him in the cheek and hit the floor. He looked down at the berry picking it up. He stuffed it in his mouth and let out a pleased groan. Then Sun smiled and motioned with a hand. @Comet RE: Bringing Home Baby. - Comet - Aug 10 2020 Comet
Comet followed Sun's gaze to her own tail. She looked at it curiously too. She followed him to the backyard which was just as lush as the rest of the house. Comet watched him climb up the tree and pick one of the pink colored fruits that were hanging from it. It looked, and smelled, even more delicious than the previous berries. When Sun mentioned that Aristotle liked them, she decided to try it. She reached out and took a bite of the pink fruit on Sun's hand. It was crunchy, and had a tarty taste in it. @Sun-Wukong RE: Bringing Home Baby. - Sun-Wukong - Aug 11 2020
Sun gazed at her tail as she did. Ever so curious about it. He turned his head to look at his own butt. There was nothing there to wag, just two little furry cheeks. He felt a bit of sadness creep in on him. Everyone in his family had a tail but him. Everyone used their tail to express themselves in some way. But sadly he had none to show any emotion with. Though he did have a very expressive face and eyes, and his body language spoke volumes at times. Sun laughed rather hard as Comet stuck her head out of the bush. The little gibbon reached forward plucking a leaf off the wolf pup’s stone ear, and held it out. He watched as Comet took a first tentative bite, more a curios nibble than a bite as far as he was concerned. But then she took a bigger bite this time hitting the peach pit. Oops he had forgotten to warn her that it had a hard center. Sun was instantly excited at Comet’s idea bouncing up and down in place. @Comet RE: Bringing Home Baby. - Comet - Aug 11 2020 Comet
Comet followed Sun's gaze to his own butt. Where there was no tail. She hadn't realized that before, that he had no tail. She could not imagine what that was like. She sensed his sadness and pressed next to him. Comet noticed that Sun talked about their two daddies by how they looked. She had seen no reason to do that yet as she had not met horse daddy before. She hoped to meet him soon, he sounded nice. Comet smiled at Sun's enthusiasm on her idea of burying the peach seed. She looked around the area with him, to find a good place to plant their special seed. Comet followed the monkey over to the empty spot between the two bushes. @Sun-WuKong RE: Bringing Home Baby. - Sun-Wukong - Aug 14 2020 Sun sighed lightly feeling Comet press into, her warmth assuring him that it was okay. Then she gently assured him that it was okay. That he had things she didn’t as well. He smiled and flexed his fingers in the fur on Comet’s shoulder. He liked the feeling of her double coat. The coarse outer fur tickled his palm while the soft fluffy under coat warmed his bare fingers. He liked being close to his sister. It felt so warm and comforting to have her by his side. Sun sat down near Comet and began helping pull dirt out of the hole with his little hands. Sun watched as Comet nosed the seed into the hole. He had watched Fluffy daddy do it with his mouth more than once and wondered why he didn't use his nose as well. However he pushed that thought away as Comet offered for him to cover the seed.
