RE: Am I a Peacock- Or a Jay? - Mossie - May 30 2023 Mossie's not entirely sure what's drawn her back to her hatchplace. Maybe it's the longing, the feeling of spinning directionless in dark rapids. Isn't it ironic that it was the search for purpose that lead to stare into the mouth of the abyss, and see it look back? She can't even bear to go to the Collector now, though she's still burdened with her cursed cargo. The urge to fling it to the bottom of the Crystal River or cradle it wars within Mossie, so she just doesn't take it out. She's got new spells though. She can think about that instead of The Everything. As she walks, she tries to focus on the feeling of mycelium rooting in her skin. The only thing she accomplishes is making her skin itch intensely. Fuck. Then she's startled by a flat-face flying creature, a flat-face flying creature but Small, and a bird-cat-thing walking into a cave. Sounds like the start of a bad joke. The larger of the flat-faced creatures is casting some strange magic. "Oi!" She yowls up. "What's with the arson?" At least nothing in this cave can burn. She's really fucking tired of her favorite caves getting destroyed. @Renasci RE: Am I a Peacock- Or a Jay? - Renasci - May 31 2023
@Mossie RE: Am I a Peacock- Or a Jay? - Mossie - May 31 2023 "Ah, right," Mossie says. "Only crystals, fungi, and rocks, so I suppose the only victims would be the fungi. Tis a shame, I'm quite the fan of fungi, but I understand the concept of collateral damage." Mossie blinks. "Not-not Order fungi," she clarifies hastily. "Regular fungi." "And yeah, I'd like to see what's up, although my magic isn't the flashy type. There has been this neat magic I've been trying to pull off, though. If mushrooms do not spontaneously grow on me, don't laugh." She closes her eyes, concentrating. A scant cluster of shrooms take root in her fur. "FUCK YES," she cheers. "It's mushroom time." @Renasci |
