RE: Bounty Hunters? I hardly know 'er - Lichen - May 29 2026

Lichen leaned back in the seat, inadvertently crushing her wings somewhat, not that she'd ever used the things. They were little more than large, decorative flaps. Not that flying while her senses were so limited was a particularly good idea either. "I suppose there's no reason to stay. The sooner we leave the sooner we can find what we need for those coins." Lichen reasoned, coincidentally in agreement with Aurelle's thoughts.

"Should we check the tunnel as we go, too? Maybe they will be more of those cherimoyas, I'm sure we haven't eaten every single one of them." Not that Lichen knew that, as far as she knew they were a rare and elusive fruit and they'd eaten the only one as a snack.

The chair creaked as Lichen lurched forwards, putting her front legs out to land on all fours once again. It took a moment to untangle her tail from the back of the chair, but otherwise was ready to go. Slithering up closer to Aurelle to loosely wrap a tendril around her wrist; perhaps having learnt her lesson from running off.

Aurelle nodded again. As per usual, Lichen couldn't see, but that didn't matter too much. "Let's get going, then," she said, offering her hand out towards the dragon's muzzle so they could hold hands. By now, it was second nature.

"I think that's a good idea," Aurelle said, cheerful. "I'm not sure if we'll find two, but if there was one already then there must be more cherimoyas kicking around somewhere, right?" Most fruit-bearing trees and bushes (Aurelle was uncertain which a cherimoya came from, but she would assume a tree) contained multiple fruits for the best chance at spreading seeds. If nothing else, it'd be a good idea to have a sniff around the spot they found it.

She padded out with Lichen out of the tavern and soon enough, out of Scorpio entirely. She was quite hopeful for the possibility of a hot meal tonight.

Lichen made another sound of agreement. Trying to remember the mantra, peppers, fish, fruit.. the rest would come back to her sooner or later, probably. Hand in not-hand she padded back out of the tavern with Aurelle. Mulling over their options, could they give in multiple of the same thing? Or would they have to be different? Did they only want one fish or would they give coins for two?

She supposed they wouldn't know until they found out. They'd find their prizes for the night and maybe, just maybe, have a hot meal.

To Polaris it was.
