RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - V-Opal-One - Oct 16 2026

The Opal saw the little kitty cat slip into the great, yawning dark, and it knew it must follow its (temporary) muse to wherever this road lead. Unfortunately, much of Wyrm's characters are Valkhounds, and so this thread shall be flooded with oversized, toothy creatures who incidentally fit this thread's aesthetic very well.

The crowd at the back was growing, the Opal further tipping the average size of this party upwards. Let's hope the funhouse has nice, high ceilings.

"So spooky…" She cooed, neck stretching like a periscope, struggling to parse anything more than worn metal fences and fluttering orange leaves.

RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - Bauxite-T-One - Oct 16 2026

Stomping through the underbrush came yet another brightly glowing monstrosity, lured away from a hunt by the miriad scents and the atrocious vibes of the general area. His footfalls were heavy and his pace was near breakneck, no doubt startling those caught unaware.

Man Jumpscare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aware, on some level, of the optics of trying to eat people in public, he suppressed the gnawing ache in his stomach as he caught sight of… Well, a good 50% of those present. Globs of drool dripped lazily down the corner of his upturned mouth, flying away and falling to the ground as he skittered to the front, then past the rest of the pack.

He would speedrun getting to the bottom of this, and then he would find something - or someone - to eat.

RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - Marigold - Oct 17 2026

Marigold peered through the new, hardened tissue around her eyes, suddenly wondering if her new mask was a bad idea. It made squinting through the heavy air more difficult, which didn't help her already growing anxiety. She'd followed the trail out of curiousity, an instinct she found she could foster better now that her eating was more regular- but she was quickly regretting that decision. Multiple decisions, actually.

More energy meant more time worrying, apparently.

All of the more intimidating gembound with crowding the back of the group, so she trotted briskly to where Mercutio, Relic and Thalassa were positioned, cowering briefly as the Bauxite rushed past, a bisexual flag blur.

RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - Gaheris - Oct 17 2026

While gliding above the treeline seemed the preferable option than to waddle around on foot, the thick fog that'd drifted over Pegasus' woodland was inpermeable, unless Gaheris wanted to risk crashing into whatever it was the weather was cloaking. A lot of trees, probably. She wasn't interested in losing a fight to a tree.

Her magic didn't give her any kind of sixth sense, unlike a lot of other elements. She landed a ways off, slowly catching up to those who'd already began the trek, pale scales blending in well with the fog around her, as if she were some kind of apparition… A ghost, even…..

wooooooooooooooooo…..

instead of treading on the cobblestone, she struck her own path - one entirely parallel, just a couple of feet to the left.

RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - Luna - Oct 17 2026

Upon a shining, armoured steed, Luna joined the party.

Whatever expedition they planned to wherever that oily corner the Collector had shown them lay was consistently delayed, or derailed by its leader, who spent most of their time with their head in the clouds - and, appropriately, looked as if they were one themselves.

"Onward!" They crowed from Vestyge's back, paws gripping the spines along his plates to keep them from sliding around the smooth carapace.

They scurried to briefly peek from behind one of his ridges, looking down upon the horseless peasants. "Greetings, fellow explorers!"

RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - Vestyge - Oct 17 2026

Onward to where? The same direction we've already been heading for twenty minutes?

Vestyge's permanent grin looked pained, his clusters of eyes squinting in unison, either struggling to see or in secondhand embarrassment. He couldn't quite tell which it was himself.

He hadn't met anyone here before. If he had it his way, they'd never meet again.

Luna's most beloved employee was seriously considering a change of career.

RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - Virosa - Oct 17 2026

The jagged branches of the bare trees grasped at the pale air above, waving in the frigid, swirling air. One of these branches, forking from the base and nearly larger than the trunk, was covered in a thick, almost woolen parasite. It was ragged with a mix of dripping fungus and tattered leaves, a thick, fur-like mold weaving between the growths.

When the group passed it, that branch left the tree, and began to walk alongside them, recognising Eleven as Forge and hovering near the back accordingly.

Virosa peered down at the smaller creatures, a smile in their eyes, if one could make them out against the black skin of their face.

RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - Diem Dark - Oct 17 2026

Diem arrived with very wide eyes. The flickering purple probably fit the mood, but despite the hooded black cloak, bird-skull face, glowing eyes and black-feathered wings, there was really nothing creepy about Diem Dark. Not here, not now, not surrounded by hulking Chaos monsters triple her height and quadruple her length.

"Fuck, they're all huge," she muttered, and the skull-face broke into a grin.

She cleared her throat, gesturing down the path as she began to make her way, flanked by Valkhounds and... fluffy moth-creatures (pretty!) and... wow. She peered up at Virosa in particular. "Love the design," she said, eyeing Virosa over with naked admiration. Her eyes lingered on the antlers, then the back spines. "You too, man that's cool," and this was directed at Gaheris. Her flickering gaze went to Marigold, birdskull upturned in a grin, so that she tripped on the broken path and very nearly fell.

"Shit. Eyes on the road, dumbass," she muttered to herself, and then corrected herself with a finger in the air, "No! Be nice to yourself. Eyes on the road, you can do better. Okay. Let's do this. What is it, a monster up ahead? -A real one, I mean. There was that time with all the monsters. ...A few times. Or a maze, maybe? ...Looks haunted," she observed, and there was excitement in her tone. She clutched the satchel at her side, striding cheerfully for the dark.

@Virosa (and Gaheris) just for interaction

RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - Chunky - Oct 17 2026

Appearing at a place of perhaps haunting interest should become one of Chunky's specialties, because its really inconvenient for itself and possibly dangerous for it to be around anything of consequences. Yet here he is, in all his blank-eyed, empty-headed, chunky-statured glory.

Immediately, he got to work being the most clueless one there as glowing eyes settled on a familiar gray streak that made him nearly purr with delight. "Oh! Snicker! Hey!! Snicker!!" His friend! His friend was here in this weird creepy place that definitely wasn't here before but he isn't questioning it at all!

He toddled forward at a surprising pace until he was right up next to the valkferret in question, smiling wide as much as his kind of eternally smiling face could. "Hi! Do you remember me? I'm your friend!! What's all this? Are we going on an adventure?"

@Snicker

RE: [Event] Doctor's Fun's Funhouse of Fun - Banshee - Oct 17 2026

At first, looking at the rather spooky path in front of them, the Banshee wondered if they should enter. <1spk>"Hmmmm," one of the heads contemplated as the other stroked her arm lovingly. "There seem to be a number of Valkhounds here." They could smell their stink from all the way over here, and the Crone's eyes narrowed as it looking at the gathering in front of them. "Oh, I wouldn't worry. This looks like fun! Surely even these nasty ass chaos losers know what fun is!"

Maiden laughed, brightly as she turned to give Morrigan a quick peck on the cheek. "You always know what to say, don't you, babe!" Without thinking about it more, the trio strolled forward, hands clasped together in front of them, putting on as pleasant an expression as they possibly could.

"Heeeeeey," Maiden called to entire group with a sing-song voice. "Nice party! Where are the drinks?" She giggled and nudged Maiden suggestively, who swatted her with a quiet, "Stooop you know I'm a lightweight!"
