RE: There is Always a Cost - Vicktor - Sep 13 2015 Her voice grew different 'It has been such a long time.' she spoke so fondly. It reminded Vicktor somewhat of that aardwolf from before. Would this meeting turn into that? Would Vazi shift from kind to vile within seconds if everything didn't go his way? He trusted Clover, she would keep her wits about her unlike that aardwolf. But Vazi, well he only trusted him just as far as he could throw him. Obviously, that wasnt very far. The stag held a smile now, sweet and respectful. This had to be a ruse, his words from before didn't match his actions. Vicktor smiled back, his gem fangs aligned perfectly along his other teeth. He was Cycle 2 now, but still his saber-fangs were growing. They wouldn't act as any form of intimidation. Maybe in the sense of what they will be if he was allowed to grow older. But that held little power here, before the red stag. He spoke about living in a new place, called Orion. That there was other children, ones who would like to play with Clover's very own. This was exciting! New children! New friends! But as the stag approached, Vicktor grew uncomfortable. Backing up under Clover even more. Keeping Ambrus to his side, he didn't like this. Not at all, he had made up his mind. But he couldn't speak, he didn't want to say anything to upset the large stag. Being so close he could easily cause so much damage. All Vicktor could do was keep Ambrus close, and stay under Clover.
@Ambrus RE: There is Always a Cost - Ambrus - Sep 14 2015 the eaglet sneered. how transparent he was. now, the little bird smiled a wicked grin, and eyed the so apparently fake stag. he kept beneath clover, staying beside vicktor as the bird then adopted a rather prideful posture, replacing the intimidating stalking eagle pose. "and what if i don't want to live in orion? i quite like canis myself." he glared at the stag, all the while a sinister grin kept to his beak. he'd taunt this stag to his very last breaking point. and if that costed him his life, well then maybe his sweet mom would be able to see that this large deer wasn't as pure as she was. wasn't worthy of her time. she was so much better, so much more loving and open minded. ambrus, even now, wished he was fully grown so that he could teach this oh so intimidating stag what the consequences were for messing with his mom. vicktor remained silent now, even as ambrus had told him what he thought of the stag. wouldn't brother vicktor be uspet that vazi thought they were to harm mom? ambrus, for one, wouldn't stand for it. and he'd cause the group so much trouble, so much pain and anguish as he wanted to make the stag regret even speaking to mom. ambrus was many things - perhaps a foolish arrogant baby, maybe even a little sadistic, but he was definitely a protector of his loved ones, which jsut so happened to be vicktor and mom now. and he'd be damned if anyone or anything hurt them. @clover @vicktor @hasira RE: There is Always a Cost - Belladonna - Sep 15 2015 RE: There is Always a Cost - Hasira - Sep 21 2015 VAZI HASIRA "shattered innocence" The stag stared down at the cowering, pathetic leopard and the infuriatingly brave bird. His eyes didn't narrow and instead he smiled but there was no warmth in it. "Then you are perfectly welcome to not come. No one is forcing you..." He would just be sure to find the stupid bird later and stomp on its head for the insolence. Then who would wear an irritating grin then? He turned his great antlered head to the white doe and smiled, this time there was warmth. All of the warmth he felt for this pure creature. "Of course, my dear. I never intended to come off as mean... I am just spreading the truth, as it should be spread." Which was true enough. When he was "cruel" to his carnivorous pets he didn't mean it. He was only treating them as they should be treated... like dirt. "However, if they do not want to come then do not have to. They can play here and you and I can make a quick trip to Orion." A lie. As soon as he got her in Orion he had no intentions of letting her leave. Not until she saw the evil-ness in these creatures. RE: There is Always a Cost - Vicktor - Sep 22 2015 The way that red stag stared down the young jaguar cub. Twisting up a smile, his words an attempt to coax Clover away from them. What would Vazi do once he got Clover alone? Was his intentions to harm her? To hunt her down if all three of them ran away right now!? His fear began to bubble over now. He couldn't let this happen, he had to do something. But what!? Fur bristling the young cub began to realize this familiar sensation. Back when he attacked the rabbit, what he had done to it. He had no plans on stopping this either. He would let this happen, this was a cry for help. Vazi must leave, either whole or in pieces. Vicktor didn't care which. Ears laying flat against his skull he bared his teeth. His current display a replay of what he had done before 'zapping' that aardwolf. With a flash of light he unleashed a loud crack, bolting out from beneath Clover was the fear riddling lightning. It would strike Vazi, and Vicktor imagined he would not be too pleased.
@Ambrus RE: There is Always a Cost - Ambrus - Sep 23 2015 oh- oh what the?! they're attacking now? ambrus grew very excited, elated, overwhelmed with joy when vicktor did not speak - yet acted. releasing a spell onto vazi, to either scare or maim, and ambrus jumped with an eagle screech. he exerted his happiness via loud caws and the flapping of flightless wings. he then let out a loud cackle, chirping the chortle as he then stepped out from underneath clover, toward the stag. "force." he repeated as he watched, willing to attack just as vicktor did. he smiled a sinister grin, azurite lenses glaring up at the stag. "that's right. you can't force anyone." he didn't spark a charge, didn't attempt an attack, but i vicktor were to attack again or if clover were to react negatively, ambrus would react accordingly. {ooc: short cuz of issues.} @clover @hasira @vicktor RE: There is Always a Cost - Belladonna - Sep 24 2015 Clover hesitated when Vazi was calm and proposed a separate option, one that involved leaving her cubs to play on their own, and she bit her tongue. She didn't want them to be alone for a long while - what if they went somewhere she couldn't follow and got hurt? Especially with how adventurous Vicktor was; she'd never forgive herself if something happened. She needed to protect them. Apparently Vicktor agreed with her, and retaliated underneath her, sending out a powerful bolt of lightning at Vazi. She gasped and jumped, feeling the bolt sizzle past her underbelly without touching it, leaving a black mark of burnt white fur in the exact line it traveled. It took her by surprise much more than it hurt, and it hurt in a different way. Why were her little gems doing this? All Vazi wanted to do was talk to her! She was horrified! She just wanted them all to get along, and here was Ambrus with a laugh at how Vazi had gotten hurt! "No, no no no no!" She stammered, picking up Ambrus by the scruff of its overly fluffy neck and hurrying away across the rolling hills, demanding that Vicktor follow in a muffled voice, and she heard their little paws over the grass, close at her heels. She had to break this up before something really bad happened, and she was so upset inside. Why were her gems proving her wrong? She would have to scold them properly when she had them away from Vazi and then come back to the stag to apologize properly and talk. That was her first priority over anything; get her gems away. @Hasira RE: There is Always a Cost - Hasira - Oct 10 2015 VAZI HASIRA "shattered innocence" Everything was going according to plan, he thought. He would talk the pure one into leaving and then he would come back later for the scum but it seemed that they had other ideas... Before he could say anything else that dark feline zapped him wit a bolt of electricity. "Augh!" He cried in pain, taking a step backwards. Did that... brat... that filthy, carnivore just attack him? Anger boiled in his veins. It didn't hurt much but Hasira could feel nothing more than blinding rage. How dare he? The stag shook his head then locked his furious gaze onto the black leopard. "You dare attack me, carnivore? Have you any idea what you have just done?!" He took a step forwards but the pure one was already herding the brats away from him. "They have proven themselves, my dear. Nothing but troublemakers! You have seen only a taste of their true natures today..." He called after her. He lowered his head, antlers prone in an obvious threat to the children. He wanted to charge, he wanted to gore them... But not today... Not now... He would get the pure one away and then come back for them... One day... "One day I will have both of your heads on a platter..." This was spoken as barely a whisper as he watched them and began to back away into the shadows. The pure one would come back, hopefully alone... Then he would have her without those two pieces of filth. RE: There is Always a Cost - Vicktor - Oct 12 2015 "No, no no no no!" Clover stammered, her voice practically shaking. Fear and disappointment shook Vicktor to his core. He had let down Clover. With stern words she demanded her jaguar to follow. And quickly he did, preferring to stick close to her and stay as far away from the red stag who was now spatting angry words their way. Before she could scold them, Vicktor had caught a glance of that burnt marks beneath her belly. Where he had hid under her, where he had attacked and unknowingly scorched her perfect fur. Eyes wide they began to water. What had he done! He just wanted to keep Amrbus and Clover safe! To make Vazi go away! He really didn't mean to shoot THAT strong a bolt at the red stag! Just scare him off that's all! Though it could go without saying twice, he felt just as warm to Vazi as he did to that aardwolf. But it was the fact Clover had been touched by his fear, he had marked her. Even with the purest of intentions and zero control. He couldn't forgive himself. All he could do was apologize to Clover, over and over saying he was sorry. He didn't mean for her to get caught in the cross fire. That he was so afraid and anxious that his magic acted upon instinct. To try and keep her and Ambrus safe! Though through his tearful explanation he watched Vazi back into the shadows. Waiting, certainly only for Clover to approach him.
@Ambrus RE: There is Always a Cost - Belladonna - Nov 04 2015 Clover's heart beat a ragged tattoo in her throat, ad her emotions were all in a jumble as she set down her Ambrus and gazed at Vicktor. She fought the compulsion to burst into tears, she felt so hurt. Why did they do this? Ambrus was....unapologetic, and her poor Pounce was in tears, repeating how sorry they were over and over and over. She sighed and bowed her head low to look at the both of them easier. "My loves, what you both did was wrong." She said softly. "Ambrus, it is wrong to laugh at someone in pain, regardless of how much you dislike them. And Vicktor....my love, you know what you did. I know you are sorry. Remember this feeling inside you, my dear little Pounce. This is guilt. It's important. It tells us when we shouldn't do certain actions, and it helps spur others. Your magic is there to protect you, not to attack others who have done you no physical harm, and when that happens...it reaps unintended consequences, those you didn't mean. You know this, my love." She kissed both of them on their heads and pulled her own away. "I need to go and speak to Vazi alone, since the both of you don't like them very much. I will apologize for you two, and see what hurts them so. Vazi is troubled by something, and I must see if I can help." She started walking back to where she saw Vazi slip away. "Run along, my dears, and I will be back as soon as I can. Protect each other. I will see the both of you soon." She smiled at them once before she left, a sad smile. "I love the both of you so, so much. Do me proud, okay?" [exit Clover] @Vicktor |
